He did well buddy, thanks for asking. He's the 2nd smallest lineman on the team at 140 lbs but is pretty strong for his size so he holds his own pretty well. When he learns to get mean and nasty out there, he will be much better. He makes his blocks but doesn't tear into them like he should and could yet.

We finished the season out last night with Spring Branch MS, a feeder to Smithson Valley HS, with a 38-0 win. Our kids completed a shutout season last night. Wow, the coaches and kids were so happy they got it done. The coaches came to the stands and told all the parents and family to get out on the field and celebrate with the kids and take pictures and what not. The kids were besides themselves with pride on their accomplishment as were the 4 coaches. The HC told me this was the first time any team had come close to pulling off a season like this at Dobie and he's been there the last 14 years. It made me pretty proud except for the fact my boy can rub it in a bit as our 7-1 year, district championship there many moons ago now looks pretty small in comparrison! LMAO This group has some tremendous athletes in it across the board with speed to burn, good size, two excellent QBs, 4-5 stud RBs, WRs that are burners and can flat out catch the ball, and a defense that is just flat good. They get to the ball fast and absolutely lay the wood for 12 & 13 year olds. Some of this class will be split up going into HS and go to SC and Steele but the majority will go to Steele. Here is the year, game to game: Briesemeister MS 46-0 Oak Run - NB 30-0 Church Hill MS - Canyon 48-0 Smithson V MS - 44-0 Canyon MS - 48-0 NB MS - 36-0 Barnes MS - 26-0 Spring Branch MS - SV - 38-0 Total scores 316-0 avg score 39.5-0 Here is a picture of the team Here is my son with his proud big sister. Why is it that 13 year old boys think it is just so uncool to smile for a picture???

Thanks JD Yeah, he looks a bit like me although much thinner! LOL He doesn't have the wide body like me although his upper body (shoulders) are pretty wide, just a narrow waste. I can't see him remaining on the offensive line through HS with his build, TE maybe though I guess.
As far as living on the island.......OMG that would be a dream for us all for sure. Nothing better then then the Laguna Madre, Land Cut, and Baffin Bay baby........not to mention the booze cruising around the canals!!! But, too much family up here and my parents are getting up in age and need us close by now more then ever so it would be just plain hard.

Congrats CB. Very impressive and who says your parents can't come too? Thanks fbfan! Heck, my old man...and my mom for that matter spent many a day fishing in the bays and in the Gulf when I was young and even before any of us kids were born. They loved it. I'd give anything to be able to get pops back out on the water or in the deer stand one last time! I tried to get him to come hunting with me about 4 years ago in S TX on a ranch I guided on. I had permission to let him kill a big management buck....much larger then anything he'd ever killed in all his years of hunting. I tried and tried to get him to go with me and even had a couple of BIG ones picked out I had patterened out on the ranch. He wouldn't do it. I'm sure it was because he was thinking he'd be a burden for me as he has trouble getting around! Hell, if he only really knew how much that would have meant to see him shoot a big deer after all he did for me when I was a kid to get me out in the woods and on the water!!!!! Hard headed old Pollock!!!!! And you wonder where I get it from! LMAO

Are the Steele coaches going to bring these guys up for the playoff travel squad? Seriously. At least some sideline passes and a little love from the announcers!

LMAO Well, they did bring a bunch of freshman up to JV this past week and I heard the RB ran wild on the JV team Thursday evening. They say he is gonna be a good one....the problem is our starter is only a soph and his backup, our starting safety is only a Jr!
