A pair of twins Joshua and Jordan Moore both attended the UT camp last week and both were offered scholarships to Texas. Congrats to recieving the offer from Texas as well as recieving multiple D-1 offers from A&M, Michigan & Texas Tech. Both are in the class of 2018 and most likely will recieve many more offers. I also noted that coach Owens from Sinton accepted a coaching position in Yoakum and Ethan Owens and his family will be relocating to Yoakum this summer. Yoakum will be finally dropping down to the 3A ranks and will be a powerhouse with one of the best teams to ever come out of Yoakum.

Not Arguing, But Yoakum had a really good team a couple Years ago. Beat Cuero in the Playoffs. One of the best games I've seen in the last couple years.

Yes thats when Yoakum had trevonae Hights, who is a soph receiver at TCU. Im pretty sure this team that Yoakum has coming up next season just could be one of the best to come out of that small town. The offense line is anchored by the HC Bo Robinson"s son Silas, 6-6 295 off tackle. Hes being looked by many D-1 schools and hasnt made his choice yet. The addition of Ethan at RB will free up Jordan who is doing double duty as RB/Safety. Both the Moore twins are 4 star athletes and are getting many new offers each month. They are the grandsons of Charlie Hall who was a dominate linebacker for the Cleveland Browns back in the 70/80"s.

Going to be several good games in that District. Look forward to Yoakum - Edna. That will have District Championship Implications. and they were in the same District before Edna dropped a classification several realignments ago. So it Will be a rivalry renewed. Haven't been to Yoakum in a Long time. But Edna Has a really Nice Stadium.

Actually its a very nice stadium but it sure took a long time to get updated and its light years improved over what we had back in the late 70"s.

Hope Yoakum can get it done and bring home a trophy this year. That would be great. Sounds like the talent is there at least on the 'top end' side....hopefully those stud athletes are good leaders and it pushes the 'everyday' average athletes there to work extremely hard and get it done.

I have a nephew who moving up to varsity this year and yes there is much leadership amongst the team. They know that great things are possible this year with this group and they are working very hard to be ready for the start of the season.
