So far Alice lost to Sinton 3-1 and beat Rivera 6-1. Beyond that I'm not sure.

Yep, they were being 1 hit and shut out by Sinton starter into 6th before Sinton miscues showed up. Bandera played for championship against Crosby not sure who won. Sinton woes hitting for past few seasons continue into this season.

Calallen went 3-2 in the Laredo Tourney beating Beeville 5-2, La Joya 7-0 and Valley View 13-1. Cal lost to SA Johnson 13-1 and SA Madison 4-3. That game against Beeville was actually theirs to win, but they had one bad inning with some walks and errors mixed in which brought some Calallen runs across the plate.
As a Calallen fan I'm a tad concerned. Ray who is our zone did much better at the Laredo Tourney as did Moody, Flour Bluff, King and Vets against what looked like tougher teams in their respective pools. If Ray wins our zone, that means Cal will have a one a done against against either King, Carroll, Moody, Vets or Flour Bluff. At this time I have to give King the edge at winning the other zone. Alot of baseball to be played, but some maturing is going to have to happen real quick both on offense and defense because we play Ray as soon as tourney season is over in couple of weeks. If Ray gets up by one game, it might be tough to overcome and win the North.

Maybe they will reverse that this year. They lost a lot of quality players in the two years. A lot of baseball yet to be played.

TM played in the Port Isabel/Los Fresnos tournament last weekend. They beat La Joya Lincoln 15-4, Beat CC London 12-4 lost a close one to Los Fresnos and home town umps 4-3 and beat El Paso Ysleta 8-7.
TM has a very young varsity team but play well together. They beat Kingsville in their non-district game 5-4 last Monday night.

Very true, but that zone thing is going to be a new and big hurdle to overcome. King, Carroll, Moody and Ray returned a bunch of experienced players and they will get better too as the season progresses. And you might want to keep an eye on Vets as well. They might be ahead of schedule over there as a far as program development, maybe well ahead. And of course on our side which includes Ray, you can't overlook anyone on any given night.

I was following the FB game on GameChanger yesterday and it went into delay. Did this game finish? What about the Robstown game? I see Calallen is playing in a consolation game today at 4pm as the 8the seed. Not information coming in this year updating games.

District 31-4a Robstown and Sinton had some good wins against D30-5a. Robstown 4 Calallen 2. Sinton 9 Carroll 2. Sinton pitched Jordan Martinez in that one. Gregory Portland had some close losses and came back and tied Sinton late 4-4 against Sinton sophomore Brett Brown that hadn't been scored on this season in his two previous starts and was racking up the k's til 6th inning rally by GP. Sinton also beat SA Brennan 8-3 with Mason Hopkins on mound for Sinton.
Robstown won 3 not sure if they played 4

They held Calallen to one hit which is kind of they way our bats have been since the scrimages. In some of those games we won, we were fortunate the other team helped along the way with errors at the right time. We just don't have the sticks we've had in years past. I know we have some kids that can hit, maybe it will come at the right time?

Alice beat Alamo Heights 10-1 and then lost to Mission Vets Friday. I don't know how they did Saturday against Edinburg and Mission but I'm guessing they won because they were scheduled to play for the tournament championship against Mission Vets but it was cancelled due to rain.
