"Assuming Moody who didn't make the playoffs will be top 3 because some returners got a year older is just that a name based assumption. Much like your poor performance predictions for FB every sport every year. " Assuming Moody will be good? Don't forget fb got mercy ruled the first game they played and jus plain lucky the second one that we didn't start the right pitcher! Luck? Ya I'm calling out luck because if we would have started the right pitcher>>>we would've won. Ask your coach. Ya I'm still on that. Now I know you're going to come n say y'all have awesome athletes n all "how sports dads real close to the program know we're going in a good direction".guy do u think you're the only one with connections? Who do u think I get my info from? Huh? >>>The present players n coaches and also all recent past great ones. . not from sports dad u play golf with. Cuz guess what? He's not the only one who has legit offspring running around gwith national travel teams.don't forget bluff only made the playoffs because moody got those district games taken from them when he player in question had no effect on any wins they had. I make my own assessment of what's real n hype. Do u really think all these ppl have been talking about Moody's class of 17 class Bc it's just hype?? Cmon now. These boys are legit Assuming moody won't be good is like assuming flour bluff will be...anybody else beside fb fan disagree? Ps these are legitimate facts I just posted. No hype potential like y'all had in football...oh let's not get u started on what that dream season was supposed to be! Then again all u did was get me all fired up because u said u can't predict moody to come back based on name assumption. A lot of former players(including myself) gave a lot of blood n sweat to be able to make that assumption. Sorry the kids from your school didn't baseball more seriously until recently or give that sort of time until recently. If your mad about the name assumption go talk to the former players n ask them why they didn't give more. I'm sure they have some great excuses Squints out. P.s. All I wanted on this Sunday was a good coffee. Damn Shoulda coulda woulda. If your aunt had onions she would be your uncle too. Wrong pitcher? Luck? Please. [/quote] U would have to say all baseball games are won with some sort of luck but in HS baseball more so. If your coach hasn't figured out which kids he can depend on into the playoffs most likely your not going very far.

GP lost a lot of players. 7 of the starting 9 were seniors. Plus top pitcher is gone. There is some talent returning, last years junior class has some good players. Have some holes to fill, but it they find some answers in outfield, they should be very competitive again this year. Can't wait for the season to start. GP has plenty of talent coming up so it should be a good rebuilding season.

Maybe these facts are incorrect but did'nt Flour Bluff knock Moody out of making the playoffs in 2015 and eliminated them from the playoffs in 2016?

I have a feeling someone who is a regular playoff team year in and year out will be hanging up the cleats earlier than normal this season. With the district doing the zone thing much like football, the trap is set come zone playoffs if that format resembles football. You better come in first in your zone or your chances of not making the real postseason really drop.

South.. F.B., Carroll, V.M., King, Moody.

We have had some close games with them the last few years and we were much more established with our pitching than we appear to be this year. King should be favored in the South and Cal lost to them badly last year.

Just distinguishing between "real" and "hype". It's a preseason poll...n just because fb has had Moody's number the last two yrs doesn't make Moody hype. Record books speak for themselves

Other than that though, the cats should take the North easy. Interzone playoffs will be big this year, especially if it turns out to be King vs Cal with the way those two games went last year

Record books speak for themselves I would say previous years of any time don't matter and pre season polls are name recognition which to a great deal is based on past years.

Record books speak for themselves Just because your record book is impressive as is your baseball history. It like FB having Moody's number the last couple years, it means nothing. It's a brand new season.
