wow JV 1 is strong!! That's great especially with all the new coaches really says something and JV 2 will get it clicking Westlake is 6a which means more depth so some JV 2 players could be JV 1 players if you're catching my drift. That's awesome though Westlake had almost double the amount of players on JV2 than we had. Our JV2 defense caused 5 turnovers and stopped the run cold. The LBs and DLine did great. The secondary needs help. You are right they will come together. We scored on a long run and a pass. We had difficulty marching down the field. Different QB than we had in Fresh Silver. This one does not have the wheels or the inclination to run like Welch does. Westlake had the ball in our red zone with 1:30 left in the game and their coach kept on passing and we intercepted. We drove to their 35 and our Qb could not get a pass off. We lost last year to them by 1 td too in the final seconds of the game. next year they will win! It's pretty great seeing these kids and coaches are clicking

I agree.. Nice win for the boys. Hell yes it is Antlers. Brennan is STACKED with talent. Size and speed all over the place! Great job by your kids and coaches IMO.
Yep! What's crazy is our JV always gets there best players taking from them to varsity but those kids every year, find a way to win 7-8 games a year.

Calallen Freshmen 28 Flour Bluff 12 Calallen JV 43 Flour Bluff 21 So far dejavu. Hope FB can repeat their part and win the rematch like last year. Cal looked smooth with their plays. Looked like vintage run offense. As far ad FB I have no clue about the play calling in either game. They moved the ball fine with short passes and runs but seemed determined to throw deep over and over regardless of coverages. Time and again stalling on ints or 4th down.

Damn!
Very impressive that a small 5a school can compete with a giant like Allen at this level!!!!
Tells me Aledo has some great talent still in the pipeline coming up! Look out 5a for the next 4 more years!

Aledo Freshmen A 3-0 against Southlake, Allen, Euless Trinity
Aledo JV A 2-1 against Southlake, Allen, LD Bell * Lost to Allen by 2 points * Did not allow a first down against LD Bell
Toughest non district sub-varsity schedule in Texas? Especially considering this is 5A vs. 6A?
