Once again Oil Belt Little League is on the verge of sweeping the Texas West District 23 championship in all divisions. The 11 year old All-Star team and the Major All-Star team have already clinched the district championships. With a win tonight in the Minor division, the 50/70 Intermediate division and the junior division they will take it all. All three of these teams are the number one seeds in their divisional tournaments.
With numerous appearances at the state championship level over the last ten years and since winning their first Texas West State Championship title in 2011 which happened to be in the junior division they have won the Texas West State title four consecutive years and two trips to the Little League World Series in that division.
Oil Belt Little League has become a state and nationally recognized little League franchise.

Well that run didn't last long!! The only oil Belt team that advanced to the state tournament was the junior girls softball team.
