Bias vote. But realistically I do believe with our defense and pitching we can win it all. If our bats come alive then I really like our chances. I think Prosper is the favorite this week but you should never count out Aledo.

Tomball(24-11-2) Playoff Record 10-2 Runs For 79 Runs Against 30

I got the info off of txhighschoolbaseball.com/ and figured out the numbers.

I'm going to throw some darts in the dark here and suggest the team with the less losses will not win the state title.
Having double digits in the loss column is obviously deceiving. Looks like some coaches have built their squads to win games in April, May and June instead of February and March.

I would like to see Tomball win against Prosper but I just don't think it will happen. Here is a little nugget. The Prosper head coach is the father of MLB player Matt Carpenter who plays 3B for the St. Louis Cardinals.

Aledo arms lead the way By Kevin Casas kcasas@star-telegram.com Strong arms Credit much of Aledo’s resiliency in the postseason to a gutsy pitching staff, which has won four consecutive games heading into the UIL state tournament. Next up for Aledo (24-13) is a Class 5A semifinal game at 7 p.m. Thursday against Georgetown (26-12) at Dell Diamond in Round Rock. Aledo senior right-hander Isaac Hale (2-2 in the playoffs) won Game 1 last week against Fort Worth Arlington Heights. He pitched seven strong innings but got no decision in a loss to Canyon the previous week. Hale has 34 strikeouts, 13 walks, and an ERA of 0.84 in the playoffs. Senior left-hander Coby Talley (4-0 in the playoffs) has won three Game 3s, and got a win in relief last week in the sweep of Heights. Junior lefty Cody Bradford (1-0) has struck out 32 and walked only six in 22 playoff innings for a 0.63 ERA. Aledo’s playoff staff, which includes appearances by Kannon Brown and Shane Mosiello, has a 0.75 ERA with 92 strikeouts. www.dfw.com/2015/06/09/1003623/uil-baseball-notebook-martin-bats.html

Looks like all the teams playing deserve that shot. I'd like to see an Aledo and GTown final.

5A semifinals • Aledo: The reigning 4A (now 5A) state champs surprised a lot of people by making it back to defend their title. The Bearcats returned just three starters from last season’s team, and both returning pitchers have been injured most of the season. None of Aledo’s current pitching staff played on varsity last year. • Prosper: The Eagles lost their first playoff game but have since reeled off nine consecutive wins — averaging more than 10 runs in those games. Prosper won a Class A state title in 1984. • Georgetown: It’s the school’s first trip to the state tournament. The Eagles started this season just 1-5, but closed the regular season by winning 10 of 11. • Tomball: The Cougars were 4A (now 5A) state champs two years ago. Tomball didn’t put together a three-game winning streak this year until the final three games of the regular season, and then won five straight to start the playoffs. www.dfw.com/2015/06/10/1003881/area-teams-look-to-finish-off.html
