I went to the Steele HS awards ceremony last night and my freshman daughter got one for making it to State Band Competition!!! That's my girl!
They retired #28, 52, & 77 in honor of Malcolm Brown, Ryan Simmons, and Marquis Anderson. All three were named to the Army All American Team and the list of awards bestowed on Malcolm Brown took about 5 minutes to read........and I do not think they covered nearly all of them! These jerseys are in big frames and will be hung next to girl's basketball start Meighan Simmons and volleyball star McKenzie Adams.
Senior TE Tyler Glazs also accepted several awards not the least was an appointment to West Point! He also is graduating #10 out of a class of well over 400! Kid is bright with a fantastic future in front of him.

Congrats to your daughter!
They're going to have to slow down on retiring numbers or they won't have any left. lol

Congrats to your daughter! Thanks a bunch. She's a talented student and musician and stands an excellent chance of saving her dear old daddy about $100K in college tuition if she keeps it up. I can tell you she gets neither talent from the old man! LMAO I can pick on the guitar a tiny bit but certainly do not have the musical ear she has. Now her mom carried graduated college with a 3.98 so she gets the 'student part' there, but my better half is not musically talented either so where did she get that from?!!!!! They're going to have to slow down on retiring numbers or they won't have any left. lol LMAO I think the chances of having 3 Army All-Americans again in a single year is pretty unlikely! It has been an amazing couple of years to have this amount of top notch athletes come through at one school for sure. Hey, CBuff...what can you tell me about Justin Sterns? He will be a Jr this coming year and a very good player. He got quite a few touches last year at RB spelling MB and was 2nd leading ball carrier on team as a soph. I've heard through the grapevine that they've moved him to the defensive secondary in spring ball and he's blowing people up. I was very impressed with this kid last year and he made some really good plays both catching the ball out of the backfield and running it. He plays with a lot of heart for sure. I do believe he is a future D1 recruit. How do you know the young man?

I just heard a rumor that Tim Deruyter was at Steele HS paying him (and others, I'm sure) a visit. Lots of talent exploding in that area, and it'd be great for the Aggies to get in on that action.

The Aggies got a good one in Sean Porter from Clemens that'll be jr this year. He has started since his true freshman year at LB and will be a monster the next two years. I was really hoping that they'd offer Ryan Simmons and thought they had but I was told by a very good source they never offered! Big, BIGmistake. He will be a game changer at Ok St! A&M and UT will regret not handing him a scholly! I'd bet that Deruyter got an eyeful because I've heard that secondary is knocking the crap out of people daily at practice. There is another kid that they'll be hot on this year for sure at Steele. His name is Evan Lyons. He as a backup RB last year as a JR and didn't see much playing time. They moved him to the secondary and I was told that he is a 'FREAK'! lol He is about 6'1" and 195 and exploded on the scene at a bigtime camp last month in Dallas. To top off his athletic ability....he is another great kid much like Malcolm and Ryan!
