I know some of your teams have faced off with King and Carroll this year and was wondering if any of you knew the scores from the JV, and especially the freshman games as my son's Steele team plays King today and Carroll in a couple of weeks.
thanks in advance for any info

I think Calallen's Freshmen beat Carroll 41-0 or something like that. The JV was something like 35-14 in Calallen's favor.

Thanks guys. I haven't heard the JV scores yet but our Freshman stomped a mud hole in them. A 47-6 B 32-6
King's A team score came on a KO return. It was 25-0 after 1 last night and we basically went into cruise control after that. We could have hit 100 last night in this game.
It is very, very strange because King has some decent athletes, some size, and they are a very disciplined team as well. I couldn't believe that after the A team game the B team for King was lined up on the track, single file, and waited their without moving for 15 minutes while the coaches spoke to their A team kids on the field. Very, very military like. I have to believe they will improve with this kind of discipline under these coaches. My son even remarked to me that the kids were very respectful on the field as well.

The thing that holds the CCISD teams back when they get to high school is the prep they are getting in the middle schools. My boy's middle school team played what was supposed to be one of the better middle school programs in the CCISD a few weeks ago and one that I believe feeds players into King and Carroll. We played the second half with a running clock. I think you can draw your own conclusions.

Slowly some who are figuring out the CCISD is stuck in a rut as far as football and they want their kids to get a chance to play with a solid program are moving out of the district and to others who are doing it right.
