How old is he gpj? LMAO, I'm sure they would not like it much, especially all thedirt and dust in their noses, eyes, ears, & mouth! LOL Hay hauling is a better workout then any I ever got a school! When I was a student at LSU, I worked at the LSU Dairy farm. We got in alfalfa hay every year, by the 18 wheeler truckload. had to stack it in a barn. Sometimnes 2 trucks a day. It was very green, but dry hay, we used to get 15# boogers! And violated bulls too right?

My son has simular numbers now. He is pretty strong. How old is he gpj? I never lifted weights when I was a kid, but I spent many a day in the hayfield, and the feed room. humping 100lb sacks of horsefeed. I used to carry 2 at a time! Probably kill me now to lift one. I wonder how some of the weight room warriors would do out in a hayfield??? Stickers, ants, bugs, the occasional snake all baled together! LMAO, I'm sure they would not like it much, especially all thedirt and dust in their noses, eyes, ears, & mouth! LOL Hay hauling is a better workout then any I ever got a school! Ah yes... lifting hay bales (or pacas, as we called them) was a hell of a workout... scorching heat, dirt everywhere, forearms all torn up from stickers, hands beat up from the wires, blowing your nose and seeing dirt/mud come out, tiny ticks biting your nut sack... tough work... but always with good buddies and family... yup, those are some good memories!

Any of you ever pick one up late in the day when you were so tired you couldn't see straight, lift it up onto your forearms to chunk it high up on the stack................and be looking dead in the eyes of a dead rattlesnake about 3" from your face?!!!
Holy chit..........IN THE PANTS! It is as close as I've come to a heart attack in my damn life!
I've also rolled them over before and had a damn live one under the bale. Skeert the living chit out of me I tell you. I have no real fear of snakes but do not like being startled by that damn buzz!

Skeert the living chit out of me I tell you. I have no real fear of snakes but do not like being startled by that damn buzz! Water Moccasin (Cottonmouth) is the only snake I have respect and fear of. 32 years ago I was putting a boat in the water. I backed down the boat ramp with my 1964 IH Crew Cab pickup. I stopped and opened my door to lower the boat down. A dang 4-foot long Water Moccasin was right there next to my door. He struck and I jumped up. He nailed my left boot and stuck in the gap where the heel and the shoe meet. I kicked and flung it away. The darn thing recoiled and struck and hit my door as I was jumping back in the truck. Three guys came ove and helped pin it down with a shovel and a rake. Another guy brought a .22 rifle. Shot it it in the head and let go. Darn thing recoiled and struck at the guy with the shovel. They pinned it down again and shot it twice more in the head. Held it down a few minutes and no movement. Finally dead. Been chased by a few in the water as well. Very agressive snake. Saw a couple Black Mambas in Somalia. People ran when they found them.

A buddy of mine and I used to work summers moving hay from the field to the barns. Worst part was our old trailer we used had Maypop brand tires as that was all we could afford. To change a flat we had to unload. That job was one of the "approved by coach" for off season jobs. Seriously hard work.
