The Jags have finally beaten a burb team in a non-district game. The Hutto Hippos have put some major beat down on LBJ in recent years, so when the Jags pull off the big win on the road under former Reagan and Lancaster HC Andrew Jackson this could be a sign to 25-4A that whoever draws the Jags might not have a gimme if they are not Leander or CP. The Jags face Vista Ridge this week, followed by Connally and Canyon 5A. I think the Jags have agood shot to go .500 in these games and be a serious threat to take down MacCallum this year. Hutto was coached by former Friendwood HC Steve Vanmeter that returns after retiring.

LBJ has been very good and even put up some points on us in 2011. Unfortunately due to their size, they'll be in DI so they'll draw either Leander or Rouse or even worse CP if Rouse falls flat. Unfortunately, 26 4a schools aren't that large so what they do get out for football, is usually focused on offense. They'll even have players going both ways!

Yep, they have bigger enrollmenst than we had in the 80s, but we had over 200 kids in our program with 1600 enrollment playing 5A.

Nice win for Jags Dwayne, I was shocked as well, LBJ has produced some good/decent teams (as opposed to Reagan?) in spite of the demographic change in that area, in recent years, depth will kill them later I'm afraid?
