I'm actually glad Calhoun had a close game. Bring the players egos back a little. Now they will see what they need to work on from more than a scrimmage. And a win is a win. Good luck to the teams playing tomorrow and Saturday. Why would they have had swollen egos to start the year? Were they ranked in the top 10 coming in? Did they make a deep run last year? Did they return most of the starters from last years team? I dont quite understand how they could have had swollen heads to begin the season with. It's just excuses. The kids were celebrating like they won the Super Bowl when the seconds ticked off. If they really thought they were all that they wouldn't have been celebrating a win over Carroll like that.

And had only a couple close games. The last one against E-E didn't end well for them . And THEY ARE KIDS.

And the plc qb is huge but he moves like he's running in mud. Well all other teams are going to look slow to you since you are used to Alice 4.2 speed LMAO, actually it is 4.36

Could be Carroll has some great athletes, but their HC is a joke. Trevino 1st stop at head coaching was Uvalde. He was the OC at SV. by name only. The only thing he did at SV. was study film. Trevino did not to jack at Uvalde, despite the fact that they had some pretty good athletes when he was there.Van McElroy's son played under him, as well as some other good athletes. Now Gary Mac Griffin (who I know personally) when he took over the HC. position last year worked those players so hard, that most of the seniors quit. He was basically working with sophomores on that team. I can guarantee you that Uvalde will get better under Griffin with less talent than Trevino had.

You obviously don't read the posts on here from PLC fans. They're an all-world team. Everyone else should take lessons from them on how to build a program lol The apples don't fall far from the tree

LMAO, actually it is 4.36 Naw, pretty sure the posts from a coule of years ago were talking about 4.2 speed. I was not on the forum in those days. If we have kid that run 4.5's, that's pretty fast for us. I do notice however, that the Alice kids do have good open speed. Speed is different when you put the pads on.

Well, last night they were not all-world, or if they were, CC Carroll is going to win 28-5a maybe! The good news is that if you are going to have a bad game, it is a great time to have one when you are not playing a top notch team!

Naw, pretty sure the posts from a coule of years ago were talking about 4.2 speed. I don't know what the posts were but we did have a kid in 2008 that had 4.2 speed. Dion Hill. Hand held by a coach, or legit time from a college camp or elsewhere? I am guessing if this kid was truly 4.2, he ran track or played WR at a major D1 school??? The reason I'm asking is that is literally world class speed, especially for a high schooler! 4.5 is fast 4.4 is DAMN FAST 4.3 is burning 4.2 is scarce as hell at the college leve, much less the HS level. I'd bet fewer than 5 kids in the state of TX have legit 4.2 speed........even high 4.2s!

Yes sir, you are correct. 4.5 is plenty fast indeed and speed on the field in full pads is usually quite a bit different than on a track. My younger brother never ran faster than mid 4.6s in HS yet I watched him shag down a legit track kid from Boerne High in a playoff game in the early 90s. I'd say the kid he ran down was at least low 4.4 kid legit, yet he ran him down from behind and save a TD and preserved a shutout.
