I wouldn't panic just yet, these scrimmages are meaningless and coaches are working on specific things with little game planning and are usually working on specific weaknesses before the season starts. Maybe that's the case.

Maybe that's the case. I agree, VE has size, speed, and a few more than capable athletes. If the boys can just gel together and hate losing more than they like winning. They could find themselves having a good season. Too early to panic...

Just had a conversation with some guys at work that have kids at East. They are saying many have lost hope in Gonzales. I think it's way too early in the season to be talking like this. Supposedly they have a few transfers that will help them out. If I was a Titan, I wouldn't be giving up on the year quite yet.

I agree, East has some very talented players. It's way too early to throw in the towel...

East was huge and talented. Problem is I saw ZERO passion from them in the scrimmage. No desire. No sense of urgency. If someone could light a fire in their butts they could be very good.

Calhoun has definitely come a very long way from when I played them my early high school days... They were everyone's even robstown's homecoming. TM went 1-9 before Talbert got there and that 1 win was PLC.... I knew coach Whit would take them to a new level and I'm glad to see y'all having great success now... I hope now that TM can see that type of success soon with coach Boone...

Parents here make sure the boys get to summer workouts and more importantly the boys know tthe value of offseason so ththey wanna go and put in the work.

Yeah the kids have to buy what the coach is selling or it doesn't work... I can tell you having played under both Talbert and Danaher, when they have speeches there wasn't a kid there that wouldn't have ran through a brick wall or whatever they needed to do because they had the kids believing in what they said would lead to success...
