Nazareth Academy 28 Sacred Heart 26 Final My son had 1 catch for 8 yards and a first down. QB was 1-2 for 8 yards and an INT. Forgot to mention, this was his first catch ever in organized ball. Needless to say, I am a proud dad today. One of the other dads got it on video so I hope to post it in the next few days. He also played the whole game on defense. Starting at RT and moving over to NG after the first series for the remainder of the game. He may work in a little at fullback for next week. Our starting fullback is banged up. He has never run the ball, so we will see how it goes.

Sounds like things are going pretty good for Nazareth Academy so far. Played at Seadrift in the mid 80s against y'all. In 7th grade, we didnt score a point all season but we got a "victory" in our first game of season when Nazareth Academy didnt show up for our game after they switched coaches week of that game and there was some confusion in the scheduling. Anyways, I'll always remember that as my first junior high football game that never happened. Lol
Nothing like watching or even coaching your kids. I have three and I would not trade these years for the world as a dad. Can hardly wait to get to Thursday, Friday, and Saturday each week. My fifth grader plays peewee on Saturday and is a lineman. My 9th grader is a JV quarterback on Thursdays. My oldest, a sophomore, is a varsity offensive lineman on Fridays. We now live in the Texas Panhandle but also love to follow Coastal Bend football. Have a blessed season.

Thanks for all the well wishes and good luck to all the football dads and their sons. Our boys will probably play against each other at some point. Looking forward to it.

Yes it is. And like said when you don't score a point all season, that makes you claim that victory more. Lol

Our Lady of Victory called today and forfeited this week's game. They cited injuries, etc, as to why they could not play. It is gonna suck telling the boys the game of the year is cancelled.
Anywho....
3-0
