What has happned to this program that was a power a few years back after moving up from 3A? They looked at one time like they would break through with a title now they are near unheard of?

Didn't they win a couple of titles earlier in the last decade?
I suspect that at least part of the issue with Everman is this: academically, it's roughly on par with your average DISD or FWISD school. That can only hurt the football program... for one thing, most parents who can afford it aren't about to send their kids there and probably would choose Arlington or Mansfield schools in that area. And for another, any low-performing school is bound to have eligibility problems which hurt depth.
In other words... same issues that plague DISD and FWISD programs. Southlake Carroll they are not.

They are still the smallest school in their district. They have made the playoffs 14 years straight, so it is not like they are a downtrodden program. Getting out of Region 1 is a tough order with Aledo and WFR.

Getting out of Region 1 is a tough order with Aledo and WFR. So basically, in 2010-11, they couldn't get past the Johnathan Gray Aledo team. 2012 was a down year for them. They won 39 games from 2007-09.
