LMAO. I agree with you Buff! The freshmen should be pretty good this year. I will keep you updated on them this season. I think you said you have boy playing correct? Yes sir. My boy is a freshman. They started today but have been at it hard all summer. We had strength and conditioning all summer long and then had a football camp last week. Should be a very, very good matchup between our two teams provided we don't have too many of our studs moved up to JV or varsity early in the year. WE have several who will most likely end up on varsity this year. Before Jinks left, he'd spoken with 6 or 7 about just that. Coach Lehnhoff may handle it differently with the youngsters, but maybe now. Our #1 RB is most certainly one of them. He is probably about 5'7"-5'8" and around 170-175, FAST, very strong, great vision & balance.......he has the entire package for sure. Then we have a couple of big fellas that may get some time as well and another who's big bro will be our varsity starting QB this year. This young man is pretty small but is lightening in a bottle and probably the absolute best CB I've ever seen at the middle school level. He has the potential to be a complete lockdown CB at the varsity level by the end of his soph year. Please keep me informed on how the Antler's freshman are doing. I've heard a ton of good stuff about that bunch through one of my sales reps who's son goes to Bandera but plays select baseball with several Antlers. In fact, he's already gotten a schedule from me and plans to attend the A team game between us this year at Steele. LOL

Sounds like you guy's are reloading as always. And I will give updates on the freshmen team thru out the season. I can tell you one thing for sure is our Ateam will have only about 25 kids. I think they only have about 45 on the freshmen team this year.

This midnight madness practice is a really good idea. Might have to push this for Calhoun, I know the community would pay to come out and watch a couple hours of practice. Great idea!!!

It is a really neat thing they started last year. They have a peprally at the school at 1030 and then a midnight practice for the fan's. After that the kids spend the night at the fieldhouse. They also had a father son retreat and they are having a mom's football 101. The mom's basically go with the position coach there son plays and they teach them what there son's job is. They then go out and have a practise for the mom's and the kid's and dad's get to watch. Should be fun.

I am frankly surprised it took coaches this long to think up the idea of a midnight practice.
Of course I guess since two-a-days start on Monday it wouldn't work as well to start camp.
