That's cool as heck. I had a Samoan friend in high school years ago, he played none other than offensive line. That boy could eat, his mama could cook, his sister looked like my buddy, and his daddy was intimidating as hell, but all in all they were one of the nicest families I've ever met. I might have to talk to whit about that away game, start fundraising now!!! Cue Poopchino to accuse you of recruiting.

Well, since this thread doesn't say that it has to be your team or your district or not even your state. Just non-district games you would like to see: I say Lousiana John Curtis or De La Salle from Californa VS either Katy or Allen. We can take them out-of-state boys to the woodshed....

If I could get my way, and this is strictly MY opinion and does not reflect on any other poster on this or any other board. (Just to try to squash the B.S.) I would like to have Calhouns PRESEASON go this way. Mission, CC Ray, SA Harlendale, Angleton. Reasons: all would be 4A Division 1 in the playoffs. All are picked to make the playoffs by DCTF. All are relatively close travel wise.
And Yes I Am A CRAB FAN!!!!! Lets hear it.

I just hope Tivy can keep up our end of the bargain this year. You guy's will have another tremendous team and will be big, fast and physical as always. I think our game with Steele is on a thursday and on tv this year. I told my son and his buddies, you dont want to be the laughing stock of San antonio this year. So I hope they come ready to play because Steele will. It will not be like last year IMO. I think your boys will be much more settled in this go round and be ready for us. I'd say the TV game will have your kids flyin' high and I'm think Steele better be the ones ready to play! We will have to play solid D and ground and pound on yall and wear you down. We don't want to get a in a track meet for sure. Those kind of games between us in the past did not work out well on our end at all! LOL

I still don't get the attraction of Euless for Samoans but there it is big time.

I saw on TV three years ago when they were in the title game it is due to a lot of them being employed at the airport there. And yes, they've had a bunch of great ones plaing on their lines over the years with more to come. There was a very tragic car accident last week that claimed the lives of 2 former players and one current. One was a member of the AtM team and one was headed to Utah this Fall. I believe the other was a sophomore to be. Very, very sad deal.

I think it was on ESPN talking about Euless and its large number of Samoans. The story noted the airlines at DFW hire these big guys for baggage handlers and Euless proximity to the airport.

Please stop with all this recruiting B.S. If parents want their kids to go to a certain school because of athletics, so be it. As far as a coach asking a parent they would be better off at their program is NOT recruiting. Yes lets bring Calallen up. I know that parents who work in south side and other parts of the city move to Calallen for athletic and other purposes. It is NOT recruiting. Yes Alice is at a disadvantage because we are in the middle of nowhere, but it is not recruiting unless the coach holds a gun to their head, or offers a better job opportunity, or free/cheap housing. Am I clear!!!
