Thre are a lot of coaches who won't say things like that, including Soza. In his own words to me he said we won't have any D-1 scouts looking at us, but we're going to be fine. That's what I would expect a coach to say. If the program had a good year the season before, and must replace graduates, I would want the fans to know there are kids coming up that have talent. It's a good thing. I've heard coaches say "we will see when the season gets here" , "I don't know what we got until they get hit", etc. I love a coached who exudes confidence. I remember when coach Bush was in Alice. His quotes were always the same. "We have no size, no speed and very little talent". We would end up winning district or advancing to the playoffs every time.

I played for Bush! Not going to tell all GP secrets but I can assure you we will not be good like you say and don't worry about us this year.

I remember when coach Bush was in Alice. His quotes were always the same. "We have no size, no speed and very little talent". We would end up winning district or advancing to the playoffs every time. Sounds like a John McKay disciple: Vintage John McKay One of the highlights of the 1976 season though were the quotes from John McKay. Not just content with being a good coach, McKay was at his hilarious best throughout the 14-game losing streak in that expansion season and beyond. “It bothers me that they (the national media) have picked us to be the worst team in football. Because what they are doing now is challenging your physical and your mental capacity and my ability to coach you. Now, this hurts me. Second worst team, I could stand it. But not the worst team.” “We’ve broken down the expansion teams and they’ve averaged winning 2.7 games their first year, which to me is rather difficult. I figured out the 2, but the .7 has got me wondering what the hell is going on.” When he heard that one of the kickers during training camp, Pete Rajecki, had mentioned he was nervous kicking in front of his coach, McKay asked that the press “Tell Mr. Rajecki that I plan to attend all the games.” "Kickers are like horse manure. They're all over the place." "We didn't tackle well today but we made up for it by not blocking." "Intensity is a lot of guys that run fast." "Emotion is highly overrated in football. My wife Corky is emotional as hell but can't play football worth a damn." On his team's blocking strategy: "Hold when you're at home and don't hold when you're on the road." "If you have everyone back from a team that lost ten games, experience isn't too important." On how coaching an expansion team is a religious experience: "You do a lot of praying, but most of the time the answer is 'no.' " “I’ll probably take a little time off and go hide somewhere. We will be back. Maybe not this century, but we will be back and we will be a better football team.” On the Buccaneers poor special-teams play, “They were absolutely horrible and that’s the best thing I can say. Besides that they were bad. These people are not poorly paid you know.” On the play of Joe Namath in the Jets 34-0 victory over Tampa Bay, “Namath is still Namath, but I must say that our guys were nice to him. I noticed when they knocked him down, they helped him to his feet. That was gentlemanly. I thought one stood around long enough to get his autograph.” On how badly the Bucs looked in losing to the Steelers 42-0, “There were times I felt like leaving the stadium and hitchhiking home.” "If a contest had ninety-seven prizes, the ninety-eighth would be a trip to Green Bay." On Tampa Bay ending its 26-game losing streak: "Three or four plane crashes and we're in the playoffs."

We had undefeated sub-varsity teams last season. And for reasons only he knows, Soza is quoted as saying this years Alice team will be better despite the loss of so many starters. For a team that relies solely on Bisby when your playing good teams, maybe you should worry more about your own team. GP had over 5200 yards last year bisby had 2300. So I guess the 2900 other yards were fictitious? Lol. We have some big strong kids that will fill in. Plus some new coaches with healthy resumes. Bibles Geiser Starcher White are a few names who will be making plenty of yards this year running over Alice. Also got a 6'4'' 270 transfer move in and he will be just fine. I made it very clear... all those non-Bisby yards came verses the scrub opponents. Verses Alice, Calallen, PLC and Leander you guys had nothing but Bisby. Twist it any way you want, the fact remains YOU HAD NOTHING BUT BISBY IN THE BIG GAMES. EVERY GOOD TEAM YOU PLAYED SHUT ALL OTHER PLAYERS DOWN.

Who's going to block for those guys. Y'all lost your OL, and it doesn't look like there is anything coming up the pipeline. G.P's defense wasn't exactly stellar last year either. Again, nothing coming up the pipeline judging the play of the sub varsities. He's right King! We have no OL, we have no other skill players, we have no defense. We're just a 1-man team...and, we have no one coming up the pipeline. Our pipeline is dry. Damn, it's gonna be a long, losing next few seasons...and, we haven't even started two-a-days yet for this season. I'm just glad football games are won & lost on a FOOTBALL FIELD and not on this forum. Otherwise, hell, why would we even suit Our team up? They think because their "sub-varsities" teams are GREAT, that that translate into their varsity team being GREAT. Too funny...LOL! When was the last time an undefeated JV or freshmen team made the playoffs? These Alice guys are too funny! I didn't know freshman & JV records counted for the varsity's won/loss performance...hmmmm. Only in Coyote Land. Because Soza says... LOL...

I guess Geiser's & Starcher's over 20+ TDs and 1,500 yards of offense doesn't count for anything this season, since they were both backups last year and only played in garbage time...LOL! And those special team TDs from both of them don't count either? Wait, those TDs weren't in garbage time, but who cares...we're the G-P Bisbys!

Stupid example. You are really dumb. Dumb eh? Your articulation is esquisate. I see Alice isd did you proud. You have to be smarter than you lead on, I mean calling people names, my 9 year old does that. But I'm assuming your a grown ass adult. You represent your community well, if you don't agree with them, they are "dumb". I don't have to tell you who sound "dumb" here do I? It was a ridiculous example. So I kept the reply simple. I call it like I see it. I gave the example that Soza says this years team will be better than last seasons and your response was "well it's not like a coach is gonna come out and say the team is gonna suck". Of course a coach isn't gonna come out and say that. But he also isn't gonna hype up the team if they are gonna suck. So your example was ridiculous and you know it.

I can only speak for myself but the point I have been making since day 1 is that all those tds and yards racked up by the players other than Bisby were verses the scrub programs. Bisby is the only one that showed up in the big games verses Alice, Calallen, PLC and Leander. All other players were shut down in those 4 games.

I would return that gift and get my money back. He is entertaining at the least! Get over it kid. I throw a million facts and stats at the guys running their mouth to me. Just because I'm sometimes rude about it doesn't take away from the truth of my comments.
