So I was in the store and in line to check out and noticed the copies of DCTF. I had been meaning to buy one since the 21st when they came out, but was 1. tired from work this whole week and 2. kept forgetting. So as I said, I was in line picked it up and flipped to 27-4A to see what they had to say about his team and I found myself running in circles holding up the magazine.... although they listed his 40 time as slower than it really is, I'm not mad at all. My boy got mentioned in DCTF baby! Small victory, looking to improve status this coming season. DCTF and Coach Johnston, thanks!

We don't really have a good RB past him on tap for the upcoming sophomore class.

Congrats! I was happy last year when mine got mentioned. This year he wasn't so fortunate...lol. You tear your shoulder up and they just forget you. J/K but I've been telling him that baseball is his best bet at the next level and he might want to just skip football this season and concentrate on baseball. Good luck this season!

I hope that skipping football this season is just a really bad joke.

It's up to him, but it's a conversation I thought I needed to have. He had 20 RBI's in 18 games last year...I'm just thinking what that could have been had he been healthy and played 38 games. He didn't pick up a bat hardly after baseball last year because of 7 on 7 and then football and then rehab. It wasn't until March that he could even take a cut. It's just things that I think about from time to time.

I think that each child owes it to themselves to pursue any avenue that gives ghem a shot a pursuing what they love that'll benefit them in life. I hope my son sees his being mentioned in DCTF as an opportunity to do even better and turn this into momentum for getting to the next level. Kids see things differently I guess but thats what us parents are for...gentle nudges and reminders to stay on task. Good luck to all our boys this coming season.
