I am hearing Calhoun will be have a bigger offensive line and that is hard to imagine those kids where huge last year. Calhoun will have to find some linebackers to step in this year but overall they should be better than they where last year. I am hoping Calhoun picks up another preseason game we where short one last year maybe a 2A school that way everyone can say we have not played anybody and we aint that good some of the stuff we heard playing all those 3A teams last year. .....

Too bad refugio wont play It's prolly a good thing we don't play Refugio. Think about it...If we were to beat them "we would be a bully" If they were to beat us " We bould be soft" Not really a good move to play them. If it weren't for classification....different story

I think Port Lavaca would benefit from playing Ingleside in non-district, they played each other in 2006-2007......Port Lavaca won both games 41-16 in 06 and 28-14 in 07. i think it will prepare them for offenses they might see down the road that they might not see much in district.

idoubt Ingleside coaches would agree to play. Why, have they changed coaches since '06 and '07? More likely because everyone has home and away set up since last year.

idoubt Ingleside coaches would agree to play. from what i remember both coaches are good friends, that was the reason they played back then. maybe not this year as Ingleside has all their games in place but maybe next re-alignment would be fun....i talk to coach Hesseltine before the last re-alignment and he had been talking to FB head coach and had them on the schedule but they dropped us and picked up Calallen after they were moved out of their districted in that crazy shake up of the districts last season.

PLC has a real program in the works. They might schedule a team from the Austin area next year or Refugio

Calhoun would spank Refugio badly.
Refugio is a great 2a program but I think that if they played Refugio would not get one single stop the entire game. No, I don't think PLC would stop the Bobcats every time but they'd certainly get more than a couple and it would look something like this..........
PLC 56-70 Ref 14-28
There is huge difference in 4a to 2a. Yes, Refugio would take a bad 4a team to the woodshed and probably even beat some average 4a teams.........but no way they beat a solid 4a team and sure as Hell not a good one like PLC.
My $.02 on this subject
Carry on
Very interesting to hear that PLC may be even bigger and stronger up front than past years because the one thing the Crabs don't lack is SIZE!

yeah nothing but respect for Port Lavaca, they got some huge guys back when Ingleside played them they had Xavier Archangel, and lots of talent around him...we lead at halftime 10-7 but they really put it on us in the second half.....we made it a more respectable game the following year if im not mistaken they won district both those years. Calhoun is a program on the rise who wouldn't suprise me if they were in the title game in the years to come.

I personally would like them to play as opposed to la vernia or somerset. long drives.
We have a good program going . proud of the kids. I know ingleside has a few studs right now.

What team do we think will give us the better football game this year? Just a guess... PLC + 28 vs Carrol PLC + 30 vs LaVernia PLC + 35 vs Somerset PLC + 14 vs Calallen PLC + 30 vs TM PLC + 24 vs GP PLC + 21 vs West PLC + 28 vs Beeville PLC + 21 vs East in answer to the question, who will give us the better game? I think it will be Calallen, but East is alwas dangerous. If they ever get some discipline, they will be a real force.
