I guess that pitching thing didn't work out because channel 6 just reported he's back at Sinton as an asst coach.

Not many kids win as many games as he did in high school...48-1 record...hit .400 all 4 years of high school...12-1 record as a freshman in high school...no hitter as a freshman at UT. He was an all-state baseball and football player and a kid a parent would be proud of in the classroom or on the field. Saying "that pitching thing didn't work out" is a slap in the face of a damn good person.

Unlike 83, who throws me under thd bus when I make a similar style statmenet - I am going to - gulp - defend him on this - what he said is a true and accurate statement and didnt demean AA at all - the pitching thing truely didnt work out if AA is now coaching at Sinton - which is a good thing for the students at Sinton High School and, in the long run, will be a good thing for AA

Looks like Coach Kas(whatever the rest) is looking to the future for the Sinton baseball program.....
The baseball program could sell itself if facilties were the only factor. Best high school facility probably in a two hundred mile radius.. But it's fortunate to have the tradition and consistency to do the job too.

this is great for the kids at sinton and will be very rewarding for Adrian. Just like Billy Garza (B. Porter/TAMUK) he went home to spread the wealth of knowledge in his particular sport. I know both these guys and they are truely South Texans!

I guess that pitching thing didn't work out because channel 6 just reported he's back at Sinton as an asst coach. From i've heard and read, hes been having arm problems for past few years. Alaniz was part of 3 pitchers that went pro on that Sinton 2002 and 2003 state championship appearances, winning it in 2002. The other 2 pitchers were Omar Gutierrez(San Deige Padres,AA highest level) and Jason Adams(San Deigo Padres,A ball last year, not sure if still in pro ball). Jason is the younger brother of Mike Adams, San Deigo Padres reliever.
