Happy Fathers Day to all the dads on here.
Thinking of my Dad..... He would be 90 this week, died in 1998. As I reflect on the things he told me, I can't remember 1 piece of advice that he gave me that was wrong. I did not always agree with him but he always turned out right. Seems like the older I get, the smarter he got! I think of him daily. I hope I'm as good a father to all of my kids as he was to me. Miss you Dad.

Likwise john. My father was overall pretty terrable. At one point and time though he had my best intrest in mind. I guess things get comprimised from time to time. I thank him though for showing me how not to parent. I strive to be the best father I can for my children and hope that his mistakes never never show in the way I handle my children. I guess it's the other side of the coin but I'm glad he was in my life to instill the things that make up who I am today.

Happy Father's Day to all my fellow Dads. It was a great one with my son! he amazes me. Without gettin all personal and stuff its good to hear him ask and talk about my dad, even though he has never met him. but he tells me every now and then "Dad, u think your dad is looking down and proud of us?" best gift ever...

I hope all of the Father's and sons/ daughters on here had a good Father's Day. I had a wonderful Father's Day weekend. I am fortunate in that my Dad is still with us at the nice age of 74. Went to San Antonio for my oldest son's surprise birthday party saturday evening. My Mom & Dad were there, my oldest and youngest sons were there (middle son had to work in Austin all weekend), my two grandsons were there, and my wife's Aunt & Uncle from SA were there. It was a great time. Spent Saturday night at my Mom & Dad's in Karnes City. Woke up Sunday to the nice aroma of my Mom cooking those giant Belgian Waffles. It was only the second Father's Day I have spent with my Dad since I joined the Army in 1982. My youngest son and my Dad (grandpa) stayed up late Saturday talking and watching a movie. I am blessed.

Ok, I will break down my fathers day. I put in sme good hours at work. I got off just in time to catch the begining of the meltdaown madness between both my girls who were up way passed there bed time and fighting sleep. I took my 7 month old and rocked her to sleep while my wife gave my oldest a bath. Then I read a story to my oldest and snuggled till she feel asleep. It was not picture perfect fathers day but I wouldnt change a thing about it. Love my girls.
