#17 Ennis vs. #10 Lancaster
It’s a pretty remarkable situation that Lancaster (7-1, 4-1 in 15-4A) finds itself in. After its surprising 17-0 loss to Red Oak, Lancaster is a loss away from third in its district. Red Oak did a masterful job keeping the ball away from Lancaster’s offense and its star quarterback Demarcus Ayers. Ennis (8-0, 5-0) is off to its best start since 2003 and looks like it is back on track under second-year coach Jack Alvarez. Ennis RB Terence Williams has hit the 100-yard mark in his last five games.
Prediction: Ennis 29, Lancaster 28 (Dallas Morning News)

Frisco Wakeland vs. Little Elm
Keaun Kinner has been a workhorse all season, but last week’s performance in a loss to Prosper was something special. The senior rushed 55 times in the 31-27 loss, carrying on a whopping 81 percent of Little Elm’s offensive plays. The 55 rushes are tied for fifth-most in Texas high school history. He’ll need another big game to keep Little Elm’s playoff hopes alive. Both Wakeland (6-2, 3-2) and Little Elm are battling for the district’s final spot, and Wakeland clinches a playoff spot with a win.
Prediction: Wakeland 42, Little Elm 28

The Colony at Frisco Centennial
The Colony (4-4, 2-3 in 9-4A) needs a win and some help from Little Elm to keep its playoff hopes alive. Centennial (7-1, 4-1) is not only battling for a district title, but currently holds the head-to-head tiebreaker with Frisco (4-1 in 9-4A) for the district’s Division I top seed.
Prediction: Centennial 48, The Colony 21

Azle at Trophy Club Byron Nelson
Azle (6-2, 3-2 in 5-4A) is a win and a Lake Dallas loss away from its first playoff berth since 2005. RB Tylor Blake has been phenomenal of late for Byron Nelson (6-2, 3-2), rushing for at least 160 yards in each of his last four games and scoring eight rushing touchdowns in those contests.
Prediction: Byron Nelson 35, Azle 21

Red Oak at Waxahachie
Coming off a signature win over state No. 2 Lancaster, Red Oak (5-3, 4-1 in 15-4A) gets a shot at Waxahachie (5-3, 3-2), which beat it 55-9 last season. RB Cameron Bausley has rushed for over 100 yards in each of Red Oak’s five district games.
Prediction: Red Oak 32, Waxahachie 28

Martin vs Nixon "Hammer Bowl". Day of reckoning is upon us!!! Some old school football. This is also for the last playoff spot in 31-4A. I've watched Martin play 3 times this year and yet to see Nixon. Martin is well coached. Nixon took Ray to the last mins of the game. Since this is a basic home game for both of them that stadium should be packed and rockin. Good Luck to both teams.
