So looks like this week's CenTex 4A game of the week is going to be the #17 Georgetown Eagles (8-0, 5-0) vs the Pflugerville Connally Cougars (7-1, 5-0). Both have high powered offenses and stout defenses. Who do you have in this match up which also decides the district champ?

I have to say Georgetown takes it and wins the district championship. The Eagles are always tough to beat at home.

They play in region 2 and they did not play a good CP-Leander team in non-district. Connally's lone loss is a beat down at home to Leander.

That is easier, they will face Dawson, Texas City and who else? CP/Leander will take region 4 and likely beat Dawson/Connally or G-town.

This is going to be a good one, but I think Connally takes it.

Welcome to the board man. Great to see an Austin area poster on here. I think G-Town will win decisively and do good in the playoffs.

Both teams are playing very well. Three things that really swing this game in Georgetown's favor are that the game is at Georgetown, the Georgetown Defense has been very stingy, and the Georgetown Offense is a scoring machine. Too much for Pflugerville Connally to overcome.

Connally has all the D1 guys, but G-town is the better team and better coached.

I've only seen Connally play (vs. Leander) and have not seen Georgetown play. My gut instinct tells me Georgetown by about 3 TD's. Something like 42-21. Georgetown has to be a dark horse threat in D1 region 3 I think...
