Don't get me wrong. I do like FB's chances this year. I am sure Coach Andrus knows that the mistakes have to be eliminated. Four reminders in the 3rd Round. Pflugerville Connally, Alamo Heights and two times Lake Travis. I am just not sure that the players realize the concern since they have handily won with those mistakes against weak teams. im with you on that. well said!

Last years team learned one thing......they had no business on the field with LT other than they had won the prior games to get there. PC game was his first year as a head coach which may have been the best team he's had up to now. Yes kids must understand their roles and their assignments. Andrus must be thinking 3 plays ahead by the 3rd round. IF and that's a big IF he can get the team that far.

FB 62 Moody 7 42-0 at the half so lots of subs got lots of good game experience. Help me out JD. Number 17 was playing QB and doing a good job in the end as did Snell in back up before him. Also number 45 had some good defensive stops but they aren't on the roster I have. Good job all the Hornets tonight. Another balanced attack on offense with 195 yds passing and 338 rushing. 9 players running with the ball and 7 catching the ball. 11 different players scoring either a TD or EP. Defense did a great job holding Cantu to 157 yds passing, plus add a 98 yd INT pick six for Jalen Campbell. FB had subs in most of the second half and allowed the lone score for TD that went for 60 of those yards. One thing the coaches must have been preaching about is the holding or penalties in general. FB had only 3-25 but the big one was for holding and had a TD called back. Andrus knows there won't be any easy games like this ahead but maybe he got to see a complete game out of both the O and the D. By the way FB Fan the paper had the name Josh Solerk for passing 1-1-6 yds. I think that was the 3rd QB used. Solarek was the Soph QB last season...a great kid...very polite and a smart player...glad to see him brought up. He has paid his dues and its good to see him getting some varsity PT. It will be hard to replace Mims next year, but we will have 3 kids with some varsity experience so they won't be complete rookies. Hopefully we can find a winning combination to work with. I think we have some new faces on special teams for these last two games, but come time for the playoffs we may see some of the players that were there earlier in the season. There have been a lot of kids moved up. Nice win for the Bluff and a good look at a QB with a rifle for an arm. On to Laredo this Friday...hope we start faster than we did against Martin.
