Just wanted to say, anyone that is interested the 1977 Quarterfinal game between Dickinson and GP is on youtube. It's in 5 parts but not too bad.

Whats so funny? 77 dickinson killed everyone after the very close game against G-P. LOL? So ya, 2nd best in the state that year.

Not that they need my help, but GP was the most dominate team in south Texas during the Akins years. Yes, it been a while since they didn't share the stage with someone else but what was your team doing then? FB was a basketball and baseball school. Things do change and most of the time it's a coach that makes all the difference. By the way, T. Gray coached Calallen into a better team and they fought to a tie in his third year there against GP.
