After reading a few articles and studying up on it, I like 25-4a to end like this: CP - Div I W Leander - Div I RU CPVR - Div II W Vandy - Div II RU Only thing I see bad in this is that Vandy plays at Rouse. But Rouse hasn't been stellar at home, so this isn't, IMO, that big of a home field advantage. Maybe Tom can fill us in on this. This is more in his neck of the woods. Isnt tom in the Dallas area? 25-4a is austin right. Yes, I'm in DFW.

Some Thursday night updates:
-In 7-4A, FW Wyatt beats FW South Hills by a point, which probably gives Wyatt the last playoff spot there. Wyatt should be favored in their last two games (against Trimble Tech and Western Hills) and, more importantly, they now own tiebreaker wins over both South Hills and Arlington Heights. Also, this would move Aledo back to the Division I bracket. -In 12-4A, Dallas Samuell beats Dallas Wilson, which puts Wilson at 2-3 in district. Samuell's ahead of them now, and can get to four wins just by beating last-place Jefferson, but Wilson has two winnable games remaining and it could wind up in a three-way tie with Hillcrest as the third team (Hillcrest already beat Samuell.) -In 19-4A, Crosby beats Kingwood Park, which means this district is practically finished: the four playoff teams should be Summer Creek, Dayton, Crosby, and Barbers Hill (not necessarily in that order.) -In 27-4A, Hays beats Seguin, but that was pretty much expected. The final playoff spot should still come down to Seguin vs. Boerne Champion in Week 10. -In 31-4A, Laredo Martin beats CC Moody, which probably sets up next week's Martin-Nixon game for the last playoff spot (though Nixon could beat Alice this week, obviously.)

We've had to travel to Roma for baseball a couple of years ago...it would be nice to make them come North...although, they have a pretty nice football field!

That Martin Nixon game is something else. Last year, or I think for several years, it has been one of the most dangerous games to suit up in. It turns into a UFC bout. Lots of tradition in the oldest rivalry dating back to the 60s. Both teams are doing great considering their last few meeting being bottom dwellers. This would be Charles' 2nd year, and Ramirez' 3rd year. Lots of changes have occurred to bring these teams better prepared. It has also been tabbed as the Hammer Bowl. Winner get to receive a hammer that will be in the color of the winner. Nixon has the hammer right now. Superintendent of LISD Dr. Nelson came over from Judson ISD and got the idea from Judson vs Wagner. Playoffs are on the line and bragging rights of East and West parts of town, this rivalry is one of the biggest in the state.

He is the one who came in and decided to not apply for the exemption for the Laredo schools to play up so they would keep their districts and that is what lead to this non stop bus trains CC to Laredo and back. Very silly man Dr. Nelson. You have cost a lot of schools a lot of money and a lot more. Arrogance walking. We read your letter to your district.
