First poll. The Administration has decided not to release photos of Bin Laden. Agree or disagree and WHY?

Heads up:
I know I haven't posted the rules yet, but it's been decided that politics and religion will not be allowed. I know a LOT of you like to talk about these subjects. But in the end, we feel that it can destroy the integrity of the board and create ill-will toward one another. We're not going to "go Nazi" on anyone about this, and we're definitely open to random topics. However, for the sake of civility, political topics will not be allowed.
Having said that, I believe that this thread is not solely political due to the significant ramifications of the topic. If (more likely when) it turns ugly, we may have to remove it.

I tried to word this so the question is agree with showing the photo or not and that actions effect good or bad. Not about the people who made that decision. Fine line I know but it doesn't have to be political.

Seeing as people on both side of the aisle are coming forth and saying it isn't worth it. No need. It's done. We don't need that pic made into a shirt. Hell, that double tap, id, and dump took less than 24 hours. The brutal efficiency makes even the Mossad shudder. Those JSOC fellas have had a decade of work behind the scenes to fine tune this. The man has literally been erased and the crickets are chirping. I think it's a good eval of the Muslim world. They're springing into democracy and he represents a medieval world they're escaping from.

There are some things the public does not need to know or see. This is one of them.
Hell they have already photo shopped the Obama war room picture and put a playstation controller in his hands.

I disagree...I have seen proof Obama faked his certificate so I think most people want closer that OBL is really ready.

There is definitely no informative need for the pictures of Osama bin Laden dead to be released. That would only be used to incite retaliation by radical extremists/ terrorists. The threat of how capable the JSOC is in being able to carry out these missions is all the terrorists need to worry about. Thanks to no country wanting OBL's body that he was buried at sea so there can be no shrine of his gravesite for terrorists to rally to. Let the terrorists go diving to find his body and become shark bait.

My thoughts are that he is dead. His people know he is dead. It's on those who don't believe it to prove he is alive which they can't. So what positive effect could showing photos do? None IMO. Some won't believe it but they wouldn't anyway no matter what you did. Same as Elvis, JFK or Roswell Aliens. I say, NEXT. What I am really happy about is the load of information the Seals captured. He was not connected in any way to the outside except with couriers hauling computer drives and thumb drives and we have those. They have already said he was actively directing his network that way. It's an intel bonanza. Navy delivers again. :-)
