If you had your time over in HS sports, what would you change? Would you specialize? If so in which? What group of sports would you choose?
Me, I would somehow add golf for sure to the mix but I don't know how I would shoehorn it in there.

Me, I would somehow add golf for sure to the mix but I don't know how I would shoehorn it in there. I would have kept playing baseball. I loved playing all three sports, but since baseball came at the end, I was burned out and didn't want to stay after school any longer. If I knew then what I know now, I still would have played football and basketball, but would have continued baseball as well and squeezed golf in also.

football was fun, i wished it was more developed in the day instead of 40 yards and a cloud of dust, i wrestled in the day that was tough it kept you conditioned through the winter time the only other one i should have tried was track, shot put and discus, again conditioning for football.

I did football, wrestling and track (Mile and 2-mile). Started football in the 5th Grade and Wrestling in the 6th Grade and Track in 7th Grade. I played Little League baseball from age 11-13. Those were the days! I was an ornery little chit. I would do it the same all over again.

Luckily I'm just beginning HS but I play both football and baseball. I used to play basketball in JH but I'll focus more on baseball so I gave that up. Might get back in the basketball mood though.

I did not play any sports in High School or Middle School. I was a band nerd.
I did play Little leauge every year growing up. If I was to do it again I would probably try out for HS baseball.

I only played football in HS but if I had it to do over again I'd also play baseball and maybe golf if the schedule allowed for it. I was actually better at baseball than football so to this day I'm still puzzled why I didn't continue to play after Little League. Teenage rebellion I guess...

I ran track, played football, & baseball in high school through my sophomore year. After that, with a lot of fatherly influence, I only played baseball my junior & senior year. If I could, I would like to go back and play football my junior & senior years. My father was right, as playing baseball paid for 5 years of college. That's why my father influenced me to not play football after my sophomore year.

Golf- I could have been the Tiger before the Tiger. Not really, I just love the game of golf and wish I could have had more time for it when I was younger. I ran track and I was good at that, but I think I could have been really good at golf if I knew then what I know now!

Played football, baseball and basketball and would do it the same way again. I had to work hard to convince the football Coach to let me quit track ( I ran the 400 YD, 440 and Mile Relay ) and play baseball. I'm glad Coach let me play baseball cuz I set the HR and RBI records at Katy HS that year !!! I was All District in football and baseball, All Greater Houston in football in Dave Campbells Texas Football Magazine and was the 6th man on our Regional Finalist Basketball team.
Only thing I'd change is when the pro scouts from the Pirates & Phillies talked to me, ... I would've listened more instead of telling them I was going to play college football and get a college degree. Different recruiting rules back then, ... baseball has come a long way in that respect.
