Well both frosh. teams won again! A team won 26-14 while B won 14-6. Played OK, but one play I made a silly little mistake as I was flagged offsides. Now I know now.
We are loaded period. QB has the accuracy and the arm, 2 great fast RB's, speedy WR's that can just burn and a dominant D that can lay out the wood. And that's just A Team I'm talking about. B Team has just as much talent too. Crazy!

scbuff...bring it to the Antlers! They're pass happy so D up! You guys are already re-establishing the pecking order around town. Steele frosh are 1-2 while the Buffs are doing it big...

Yup we are just 2 days away from going up to K-Town and show dem Antlers who's boss! Working hard for that ultimate goal and that's 10-0. If we keep our grades up, we can beat anybody in my opinion, ANYBODY! Now speaking of grades, I found out today that 54 out of the 83 players on the team are failing . Yup, if eligibility was this week, the B games would be cancelled and it would be bad. Luckily I'm not failing. Just get 'em up and it'll be fine.

LMAO Good stuff 2016. I like the rivalry talk you are already putting out there. But,.............. ........to be fair on your statement above..............do you think the records might be reversed if the schedules were also? Last, you might wanna check and see what last year's Sr class record was a freshman before reading too much into that! I no for a fact that last years 15-1 Knights were 2-8 their freshman year. By the way, the 2010 group that won it all was not anything special either if I remember correctly. So, that is two freshman teams that were far from great that went 29-3 with two 5a title appearances and 1 title. Not bad considering they were also playing 4a ball when they had those less then great freshman teams. I am very excited about how the SC freshman group look for sure. We have a ton of reason to feel the future looks very, very bright at SC but there is a ton of work to do before it gets there. I can tell you this, Dobie's 8th grade team looked much better than Corbetts 8th and from what I understand the 7th grade A teams did not score on one another at all. But, a friend who's son is a heck of a player on that Corbett 7th grade team told me that although it was scoreless, Dobie moved the ball much better than Corbett did. IMO, both teams should be outstanding in the next 2-4 years. It will get very, very interesting for sure if and when the two play one another again. I can tell you that I don't think it'll happen until SC goes 5a again and they are in the same district with one another. Maybe now that Johnston is at SC that'll change but I know the way it was I heard the powers that be didn't want them playing one another. I could understand it in a way because the last two years (varsity) it would have not been pretty and this year (varsity again) it wouldn't either. Freshman teams might have been fun to watch. Probably would be a pretty good game indeed! I just wish SC would stay 4a at least 1 more realignment (through 2015 season) so that we could have a chance to have both a 4a and a 5a team win the region in the same year!!!

Good stuff Clemensbuff. Yea lots of stuff happens in the 3 years after freshman year. While the new SC system is starting up and has a few kinks, that'll be fixed and by our Jr. year, we'll be really good. Now if we don't have grade and idiot problems (70% of the frosh. is failing), we'll be fine. I also agree that Corbett may not be really good yet but they are getting there. And Dobie will stay good IMO. Gonna be a fun to see indeed. And yes, seeing the battle of Cibolo Valley Drive (formerly 3009) will be a great game in a few years (even on FSN maybe?? ), but I wasn't too crazy of the original games and I like the approach the SCUCISD is taking when it comes to the game. Lastly, at first I thought SC would be in 5A and Steele moves down to 4A, but looking at the growth, I don't think so. The rivalry will be back in 2014. It'll be interesting as I know basically all the freshmen at both Steele and Clemens! Great stuff indeed. Great stuff.

Well both teams lost in K-Town tonight. A lost 28-20, B lost 16-0. A almost came back after being down 21-0 but came up short and B had plenty of chances too. Sucks.

Keep your head up SCBK, I'm sure the losses benefitted the coaching staff identify areas to fix and you all will benefit from it. A team learned a lesson I'm sure and B team as well. Next game you'll all see! Just know that your fans and supporters are behind you 100%.

53 kids out of 83 are failing. Yes I said it, 53!!! Just two days away from verication and 64% of the team is failing. Not good at all. tyhey even ended practice early just to get us go fix the grades but I'm passing all my classes so I'm good for now. But unbelievable. But on a better note, the O and D are clicking and if we can fix our act grade wise then we'll be fine. Also just 1 day left before we beat down them Lions!

53 of 83 kids apparently aren't committed to the program, themselves or excelling as student athletes. Don't be discouraged, it'll all work out. That's a shame that some kids think just being on the team is good enough. You guys have access to grade speed and all kinds of means of staying on top of your grades. Personally, I feel the kids who are dedicated enough to maintain passing grades and grind it out in practice each day are the ones you want lining up beside you anyways. May not be the most athletic kids always, but athleticism without academics = NOTHING. Texas has been a no pass no play state for decades and these kids knew that. Hopefully the coaches cutting practice short for kids to fix their grades worked, but if they weren't on track this long, one day won't help many unless it was a matter of one or two scores that needed to be raised slightly. Such a shame that these kids we're basically just floating by grade wise. Attrition by academia, my young friend is often the downfall of many an aspiring athlete. I particularly blame the parents for not instilling the proper work ethic in these young men, after all as parents we know better than to just take our child's word for their grades. Just like on the field, a child like a team has tendencies and as parents we have to make reads and adjust our play in anticipation of the unexpected. Congrats to you for being one of the few players to care about yourself and your team! Go BUFFS!!!
