Take it back, they play East Central for the 6th and probably will lose that one too.

Two have already committed including a 4 years starter on the O-line. They are big, fast, and talented. I think their coach has finally gotten a handle on the 'other issues' they were having and are getting them 'right'. We played them in 08 & 09 when we were 4a and put a beat down on them. Athletically they were talented then........mentally they were terrible at best. I remember one LB they had stood at mid field during warmups in the Alamo Dome (kickoff classic) and strutted around for 5-10 minutes taunting any Steele player he could get to look at him. He spent the next 48 minutes laying on his back and finished the game with one tackle! LMAO I think we will see the district title game at Lehnhoff Stadium on Thur, Oct 25 against them and it will be a very, very good ballgame. They have a scary fast RB along with some other very fast players. If we let them get ahead it could be a problem but I beleive as long as we don't make mistakes we should win a close game. But bottom line is that EC should roll both Carroll and King this year.

They are going to finish third, but I think they will give Steele and EC a game for awhile, before folding.

I completely agree with you. Jinks will not bring the house against an inferior team. If he knows he has a team 'out-gunned', he will call the dogs off very early. He will also run different looks on both sides of the ball to give him and the staff opportunities to possibly finds some hidden jewel(s) they can utilize later in the playoffs. I'm telling you that in 2010 we could have put over 100 against McAllen Mem. He pulled the starters (skilled players) in the 1st quarter as it was 19-0 in the first 4 minutes or something like that. Hell, we let a safety who'd never run the ball....EVER come in and play some RB! Last year against Laredo Alexander we got two freshman significant PT running the ball through the final 3 quarters after jumping out to a 21-0 lead in the 1st. That will pay huge dividends this year as I believe both these sophomores will contribute greatly to the offense this year! I do believe King should be a pretty worthy apponent as well....at least I'm hoping so.

If King really shows up, they might challenge for third. But number one and two are in the bag.
