11 Killed and at least 12 hurt in Goliad County wreck. www.mysanantonio.com/news/local_news/article/11-dead-in-Goliad-County-crash-3726682.phpMy question is this.............23 people in the truck.........are you kidding me. What are these people thinking. 2nd, I believe there is a law that you must be at least 18 years old to ride in the back of a pickup on a public road in TX. I know this because I got a royal arsh chewing from a park ranger in Calaham State Park at Choke Canyon. We were inside the park driving the roads at 10 mph just looking at the wildlife when I received the verbal beat down. I feel pain for all the lives lost and shattered in this accident but at the same time I have to question what these people were thinking packing this many people in a pickup truck and getting on the road. Sad indeed.

Sad indeed. Wow. I don't know what to say about this. I feel bad about the people dead in all, but there's got to be a back story to this. 23 people is way too crazy, and that looks like one huge arsh family to me. Agreed it is sad indeed. I didn't know that rule is in place, as I used to ride in the back of the truckin the neighborhood and never got in trouble for it. It was fun!

I heard this story on the radio as I was driving in this morning. Such a terrible tragedy. Thoughts and prayers go out to the grieving families.

Sad indeed.... How in the world do you get 23 people into a F-250? You can't even get that many into a Econoline Passenger Van. Wow.....
When I first heard of this last night, I thought it might have been oil field related as that road is well traveled thanks to Eagle Ford.

I come from a big family, we had many trips traveling in the back of a truck. maybe 6 or 7 in the truck bed sometimes in a camper shell. But 23 people in one truck is just mind boggling to me. Such a tragic loss of life.

I know if this concerned citizen sees that many people in the back of a truck around these parts, I'm calling 911 for that reason among others.

I've called 911 more than once when seeing children unbuckled in cars on the road as well as in the truck beds on major highways. Don't get me wrong as I road a many a mile in back of a truck when I was a kid but that was 30+ years ago when it was within the law and more importantly.......a hell of a lot safer than today what with all the traffic on our TX roads. Like I said, my heart truly aches for these people today. Just sad.
