mediola pitched. from what i remember it was a rough night with the wind and starters out. Position for position on field and in lineup, id take most of gp's starters. who will play the fundamental ball though? Our sophomore SS, Mims, has been a force lately with diving play after diving play in the field and clutch hitting with runners in scoring position. He and Legamaro at 2nd are a damn good middle infield combo. Humpal has been a wall behind the plate with a rifle for an arm and ripping the ball on offense. And...I wouldn't trade Mendiola in center field. Who are the GP standouts? I know Polasek is the stud pitcher, but who are your other studs?

FB went thru the gauntlet in 31 4 a.. they saw some of the best talent in calallen and even in moody. If FB batters can adjust quickly.. they win

Come early and eat at A1 or Pepitos. And fill your car up with gas, do your shopping at HEB/WalMart. We need the tax revenue!

Alex Legamaro Travis Geiser GP 31 * 28 [+] Avg .321 .430* [+] PA 99* 97 [+] AB 84 86* [+] R 17 23* [+] H 27 37* [+] RBI 11 33* [+] 2B 1 7* [+] 3B - 1* [+] HR - 2* [+] I say Travis geiser at 2nd base will out play Legomaro on field and at the plate anyday. as for shortstop, Stat Kolton Mims Randy Sanchez GP 28* 28* Avg .326 .354* PA 102* 97 AB 89* 82 R 23 27* H 29* 29* RBI 12 19* 2B 5 9* 3B 1 3* HR - 0 1* and each of them have 10 errors on the season. I'd take the seasoned senior to overcome the so. as for the outfield, hld down by soph. mickie erwin with fresh ruben martinez and either ryan or the other geiser.... could go either way.

This matchup is just begging for some kind of forum bet. Something like a signature image that shows the scores and a "we're not worthy" type statement and has to be left on the losers signature for say a month.
JD this should be right up your alley?

I'd still take our middle infield considering the better pitching that they have faced this year and the plays I've seen both of them make in the field. Hell, I'll take our whole team! So who pitched against FB in the game agaist GP earlier in the year? Travis pitched some, but I'm not sure if he was a relief pitcher or started. There might have been 3 of them...not sure. We should see some competitive baseball in this series though...GP has been turning it on lately. It has been mentioned that we played them early in the season...well, that goes for both teams. Let's see how much each team has improved...both have different lineups now and different kids contributing. As I heard a couple of the kids say last night, Thursday can't get here soon enough!
