Change of venue..... Calallen Wildcats vs. Rio Grande City Rattlers Friday, May 20, 7:30 p.m. at La Joya 201 East Expressway 83 78560 Next to the football stadium They just did the Cats a big favor by switching to the field in La Joya. Roadrunner field is not a hitters ball park, the outfield fences are 16' tall and the field was built below ground level. The ball will definetly come off the bat much better at La Joya Field. Much nicer venue also! "University of La Joya" is what we called it when i coached in da valley. Because there are two high schools and lots of buildings, football field, 3 baseball / two softball fields, plenty of soccer fields. Both softball/baseball fields (varsity) have covered stands. baseball field is nice. well manicured. standing behind home plate, you are facing north/north east. so a nice crosswind in effect from right to left. have a safe trip.

Do yourselves a favor and check out the article about last night's game in todays Caller. Is their coach delusional or what?

Yea and according to the Rio Grande City coach "They proved that they could play with us and Calallen only has 2 power hitters".

Also, Rio Grande City coach stated "I can guarantee you this, they won't blow us away (Saturday) like they did (Friday).
