Monday Morning quarterbacks are more than annoying. What I find most amusing and laughable is that calallen93 actually believes he has actually made a point. I have a STRONG feeling that either he or his son rode the bench at Calallen. There are always reasons that something is done or not done and rarely in Chapman's case is it because he forgot or didn't consider it. Sometimes you think a bunt is the right thing to do, but the hitter at the plate is just not good at it and you know this. Are you still going to try it anyway? As a coach in a game, you don't have the luxury of hindsight in making decisions. You have to play the percentages and just hope they work out. How many other bunt situations came up throughout the year when Chapman decided not to bunt and the hitter smoked a 2-run double? Bet you never say anything about all those times. What would you have called on that last play of the semi-final game? The "fall down" play? I highly doubt it. My guess is that you would have been frozen in the dugout with eyes as big as baseballs hoping for a wild pitch, base hit, or something else. Hoping and praying instead of making something happen. Chapman and staff are great coaches that are brave enough to take the risks that they think will pay off in the heat of battle and if they don't, they live with it instead of getting a do-over like any monday morning quarterback saying "well, what he SHOULD have done was.......". You are nothing but someone with an agenda that needs to take a long, hard look at himself and ask yourself this question: How would I like 4,000 people eating popcorn and hotdogs watching me do my job and second guessing every decision I make that doesn't work out like I intended? Not another one of these guys...on your personal attacks I will just say you are just as childish as the last guy. Call it what you like, but when the pressure is on the good coach can handle it and the subpar coaches "choke" ie Danaher/Chapman There's nothing personal in the responses to your baseless attacks on coaches. You opened the flood gates and showed exactly what you are. Nobody is fooled.

Subpar coaching from Chapman the entire State tourney. I would be more than willing to share my reasons....just scroll back a page or two and read. I guess you were under Chapmans desk when I gave my reasons. You are welcome to continue to call names it is a true sign that the truth hurts....I think I hit home with my comments...did the truth get you right in the gut? Haha good times Haha. No, not at all. You and your ilk come out from under your rocks every year. Whining and pining. You're the reason folks from outside Calallen hate Calalllen. The funny thing is you believe that statement...when the fact is it is people like you that give us a bad name.

So in order to not be a subpar coach, you must win EVERY game? Ok....name a coach that is not subpar. I can tell you who is the winningest active baseball coach in Texas if you think it will help.

Yet you see fit to make excuses and complain about the coaches. You roll your eyes with a snotty attitude when you see the "runner-up" trophy and say things like, "oh, one of these again?" Well, one day you may get your wish and the coaches will be gone. Will you still be rooting for Calallen when they're mediocre or worse again? With fans like you, who needs 83?

I'm beginning to wonder if your user name is just a disguise?? I doubt very seriously you are from Calallen or are a real Calallen fan. It's Sunday, not much going on, I'll play your game for awhile....
1. You blantly ignored my question earlier..."First, tell me this....how many chances do you think Calallen would have to "be out coached"(at the championship level) if we did not have either one as a coach and someone else was there?"....
2. WHO do you have in mind to replace either one?
Answer these and we will continue the debate.

Very proud of the boys they played with heart and did their best. Now Chapman on the other hand pulled a Danaher. Should we call him Phil Chapman or Steve Danaher? Either way in Calallen fashion we were out coached when the title was on the line. Usually it is Phil that gets out coached, but it looks like Chapman has been hanging around him too much. These two coaches do not deserve the talented palyers they have on their teams...Poor coaching has cost Calallen way too many State titles...mostly football but baseball as well. So, Chapman left all those runners stranded and gave up 6 in the 1st 2 innings??? WTF

Personally, I think 93 should take over in football and baseball. Then we'll see if he's capable of dealing with people like himself whenever he doesn't win a state championship every year.

You don't produce all the great teams Chapman......or Danaher has for that matter without being a great coach and having a great program.

I really was just joking with you. But as Calallen's chief antagonist, you might have some competition! You better start bringing out the big guns now, or you might lose your title!

The funny thing is you believe that statement...when the fact is it is people like you that give us a bad name. Let me help you all understand this guy better. First you must understand that this type of person cannot help his feelings as they are as ingrained into him as anything. He is a blamer. An after-the-fact kind of guy with a twist of disdain for the guys that most likely never gave him much playing time. When a person like this doesn't get the playing time he wants, he NEVER looks at it as motivation to work harder. He simply starts pointing fingers with a feeling that for some reason the coach just doesn't like him. This trait is very commonly passed on from generation to generation as the father teaches it to his own son and on and on and on. Almost like a trade that would have been passed from generation to generation back in the old days. This condition will, in turn, cause the type of attitude we have been witnessing from calallen93. Textbook case. Break the cycle, man! Only you can do it!
