What's your take on this game? Will the bats be there, or will they be missing?

TM is solid! Seriously TM is getting better. They have a couple of good, young arms/players in their program who played on the Oil Belt national Junior Team last summer and are Select League seasoned. They played Moody real well a couple of weeks ago, so they are no slouches
I think we take them down by at least a difference of six runs depending the wind blowing out at Cat Field which by the way, the wind has been real light the past week now which is very unusal for this time of year. I take it Wyatt will be pitching too because if we stick to the two man rotation thing, it would be his turn. But who knows, maybe Desi will get some work in here and Wyatt will come in to put out the fire if need be. We play JPII on Saturday in a non conference game and then Ray on Tuesday.

T-M has improved and could prove to be a little pesky. The BBCOR seems to have had a definite impact on Cal's HR and run production this season so all their games have been fairly close. You never know what might happen. The HR's from last year are fly outs this year so instead of Cal dumping 5 over the fence, that might just be 5 outs vs. T-M. Cal should win, but this season in baseball, you just never know.
Cal 6 T-M 2

Calallen's bats break out against T-M. Calallen 10-run rules the Warriors. Calallen 11-1.

I'm going to reserve my thoughts until Calallen starts playing up to their capabilities. They are pretty much a dart throw lately.

I dunno..we lost some heavy lumber from the heart of last year's batting order. Maybe we'll just have to grind out wins this year. We definitely have the pitching to win that way.

I think "lumber" might be the key word...the lumber has changed this year in the form of the BBCOR bat. Wyatt hit 12 dingers last year and only has 1 this year and the season is almost halfway done if Cal plays as many games as they did last year. Lots of runs are erased when a well hit ball is a fly out instead of a HR.

Good pitching will trump hitting this year. You can't simply stick the bat out and knock it out of the park. lol

Is Jeremy Brittain playing Baseball for TM? Has he given it up to concentrate on basketball? The kid is a stud!

I didn't see him at the game we played last week, but I heard he had an injury from basketball. I bet he would be playing if he was healthy. He is a competitor and could help out that pitching staff.

Well i dont think we have a set line up and we fixen to hit the second half, the batting order has change since the tournaments. Is hard for these boys to go up and down when each slot has a puppose in the line up. I believe once they quit change it the boys will settle in a more results will fall in place. TM has been playing a lot better than before only if they can learn to play all 7 innings they will start to make a run for the 4th slot in the play-offs which is still up for grabs, with Alice losing to Kingsville, and half to play Calallen and Bluff at home

Oh Clemensbuff...I LOVE the way you think! Baseball is fun, but there's nothing greater than the gridiron and Friday Night Lights! I say Calallen wins this one, but it will be closer than the football score.

I too have seen TM play and they can play with some intensity. They have some good pitching, and sound fundamentals. If Cal bats aren't there, then it will be another close one. Cal by 4-2 otherwise Cal by 6-1

Jeremy Brittain is having surgery tomorrow on his knee and will be out 4-6 months recovering. Just think how much better T-M would be with Brittain on the field. Throw in Tommy De Los Santos and Justice Flores in the batting order and the infield and Scheible playing center and pitching and wow! Poor Davila lost a $#%load of talent. When Scheible gets on a roll, he can hit long ball after long ball. The kid has grown a lot too...I saw him during the Calallen tournament and he must be 6'3" now. Maybe if otter had taken over the reigns last year as opposed to this year, those kids might have stayed.
