Hope he has a great senior season and gets a college scholarship. And, Calallen should be the odds on favorite to bring home the State Championship. Good luck to the Wildcats to bring it home. And, good luck to all the Coastal Bend teams on this upcoming season. It should be a lot of fun! Thanks gp81 glad to hear he still has some support from back yander I wish others would feel the same, but it dont matter anymore, and thanks he has been contacted by some jc and (1) D1 schoool but we gunna take time to make the best choice for whats best for him. one tired cat here and i didnt have the work out the ball players did today (i knw they work hard and long), well the 1st full sat practice is over and saw some good things today and you can quickly tell the ones that havent pick up a bat and ball in a while. But in the other had we all had a few rusty arms and bats, & some didnt miss a beat. Did see 2 freshman throw very well today and could very well make a impact in the rotation very soon. Time and hard work will knock off the rust and the bats should start cracking soon.

CB25...is there anything special for recruits? Like maybe an hour of instruction in the bullpen with Coach Lopez? hey buddy I told you about that blue light special last season lol, btw it's never to late, you can have cb25 parking space. Ain't gonna happen. But you will get to see the whole FB crew real soon.

This will be LT's best baseball team ever! If they ever have a shot at getting past both Moody and Calallen this is the year. That may not happen as LT may be 5A???

Realignment changes are for 2012-2013 & 2013-2014 school years and would not effect this season. So this will be Lake Travis' last crack at a 4A Baseball State Championship before moving up to 5A next season.

I think I saw one of those freshmen pitching during the January tournament...lefty? The Hornets put in some hours on Saturday as well. The program is as deep as it as ever been and the freshmen group this year should continue the success the freshmen group had last year. I didn't make it to practice as I was at the ranch with CFWB and 3 A&M Kingsville linemen and 1 Rice lineman...glad I don't have to pay their feed bill!!! Keep us updated buddy and good luck to #25 this season!

Intersquad scrimmage went well today, saw some great pitching from underclassmen which tell me that Calallen will have lots more pitching in the years to come, a few long balls from some players competing for some playing time and some soild hitting from the starters looks like the bats are not going to be much of a factor. Along with some good defense plays around the horn I can say this might be the strongest defense team in some time. Again this was just a intersquad and has no meaning. Monday JP2 will visit Calallen field and King will come over on Friday both scrimmage will start at 5pm.
