I wouldn't be surprised if Alice didn't win that one playing at home. It could be Oliver's last time to play in an Alice uniform. My point was.....the 31 runner-up will be placed in the upper bracket of the region brackets. Not a bad place to be in this region as opposed to the lower bracket. Would Moody take a dive against Alice to end up in the upper bracket? I doubt it but it is something to ponder when you look at the big picture. I know you have to beat them all to get to the show, but it could make a big difference when you have to play them. Especially if there are some 1-gamers.

I really think Moody wants to win District and that they will come out firing. On the other hand, Alice has had a disappointing year and Oliver is capable of keeping the opponents bats quiet, so Alice might win this one even with Moody's guns blazing.
I agree with you about the bracket, but our thoughts may change if CP beats LT this week.

We're just glad to have a chance to play in the playoffs! That's the difference in programs. Calallen is looking to win a state championship. G-P is just glad to make the playoffs. SAD! It not use to be like that, its a shame to think what could of should of and would of if (he) would have invested in some of the boys This is like football all over again for LT and CP. 2nd place finisher in football had a much easier road than the district winner. Looks like 2nd place in baseball gets the same benefit.

Welcome back Corky! I'm not sure which team I would rather play in the playoffs...Moody or Calallen. After thinking about it, I think I'd like our chances with a 1 game playoff the most given the fact that both of these teams find a way to win. Hopefully we will get our chance because that will mean a 31-4A team will advancing to the regional semi-final at least.

Just need to make sure no games at Cabaniss and we have a plumber and electrician on staff. Good to go.

Calallen and Moody decided by a coin flip today on 1st and 2nd seed in the playoffs. Moody will go as 1st seed and Calallen will go as #2. This is all assuming a Moody win versus Alice. No game will be played between Cal and Moody.

wow! ?!?!? Why? So Moody is district champs? No. Co champs. You can either have the game to effect the win loss record or flip for the seeds.

Co-champs is correct. The flip was simply to decide who went in which bracket.

Co-champs is correct. The flip was simply to decide who went in which bracket. Good. Didn't make sense to play 4 games in a season??
