District rules say that any game suspended for any reason, after having enough innings played to be an official game (5 complete innings or 4 1/2 if the home team is leading) will be ruled a complete game. Thats the rule. Even though it is there (actually in bold print) in the didstrict rules book, it was still left up to the district to vote on. Moody and Alice voted to continue the game today while Ray, TM, and Kingsville voted the game complete. There you have the RULE BOOK saying it's a complete game, majority vote of the district members saying it's a complete game, and some think that Calallen should play it out anyway. FB got 5 at-bats and Calallen got 4. Yes, I would much rather have finished the game last night, but no innings played today would have counted anyway after the ruling.

Well I hope the Bluff is geared up to return the favor to Ray and Kingsville these next 2 ball games. I know nothing matters more at this point than to finish healthy and get ready for the playoff run ahead.

If I were a betting man I'd say moody for sure against and 90% sure the other would be Alice

This just sets the stage for a rematch hopefully in the playoffs with a little bit of revenge factored in.
My main complaint is that we probably could have gotten in another inning. Cats were at the bottom of their order and the game was going by fast. We were at the top of the order. The umps sat around socializing while the maintenance crews worked on the lights. We could have been playing ball during this intermission. Nobody knew the lights would not come back on though. Nothing we can do about it now, but wait for another chance and hope we get it.
Game 1...if we didn't bobble that dink of a hit, game over and we win. Game 2 was a pitchers dual and who knows how it would have ended if lights would have worked. I still like our chances against this Calallen team if we meet again.
