Saturday morning and it's cold and wet and that was just the beginning. Some idiot came around the corner, lost control of his truck and slammed into my truck in the drive way and knocked it into my brick flower bed retaining wall attached to the front of the house. Thank God it was there or my truck would be in my den. He gets it running and destroys my bush, landscaping and yard getting away. Big ruts and edging thrown everywhere. Fortunately my neighbor got his plate number. Now I get the joy of insurance claims etc to put my truck, house and yard back together. I got all you want to bet this A hole has no insurance. Great morning so far.

Great morning so far. Likely. Had the same thing happen to a truck of mine, but the moron's car gave out up the road. Found it, and contacted them. Young kid, VERY drunk, didn't want the DWI. They paid everything. Was so happy he had insurance, didn't file charges. It was in an apt complex. Thought I had bad luck this week, I had bike stolen. That sux,FBF!

Sorry about your bike. This happened at right around 8 this morning. Another neighbor came by and said he heard a huge screaming match going on around the corner where this guy came from. I am thinking it was likely a "domestic disturbance" thing. Hell, if he had just asked *I* would have made his damn pancakes or whatever it was that made him crazy. Since we got the plate number I expect he will be caught and it will all come out.

Make lemonade of those lemons. Convince Mrs. FBFan that the old truck will never be the same and go get a new one!

I feel for you. I had a terrible morning/ day as well. Got a call that my 73 year old Mom was in the Emergency Room at Karnes City/ Kenedy. She fell and hit her head at the back door steps to my parents home. My Mom split her forehead open. She is back home now and resting, but looks like she lost a fight.

Hope she makes a quick recovery. I will add her to my prayer list.

What was going on in the Bluff this weekend? Somebody make a bad batch of Moonshine because your house wasn't the only one that got hit over there. www.kiiitv.com/story/17126985/car-slams-into-homeSorry to hear about that and what is worse is the upcoming battle with the red tape. About seven years ago in our old neighborhood, the local neighborhood drunk was coming home on a Sunday evening in his brand new $50000 dollar Ford Excursion that he just bought a few months before and crashed into my neighbors parked cars in their drive way pushing them into their garage and side swiped another parked truck before that while we was turning the corner. It happened about 11 PM on that Sunday evening and I thought two semis or other heavy duty vehicles went head on on FM 624 when I heard the crash. Got off the couch to go outside and I see the drunk fool trying to back up the Excursion out of my neighbors driveway, but couldn't and he was just burning rubber which produced the thickest black smoke I've ever witnessed. The fool was that drunk and I was told he was a trust fund baby who got check every Jan 1 thanks to an "acciident" he was involved in while committing some mischief as a teen. Instead the insurance company decided to settle with him and thus, he became a trust fund baby for a part of his lift and was able to buy things like a 50K Excurrsion and not hold a stable job thanks to the booze. He got almost instant justice this time around. The vehicles he crashed into belonged to two CCPD officiers and one Federal Corrections officer. Needless to say, the fastest reponse I've ever seen by the CCPD that night. If those vehicles were not parked on my neighbors drive way, the idiot could have very well ended up in my yard somewhere, or worse my home.

I have been trying to get my Mom and Dad to move to Corpus Christi and live with us or we can build a Guesthouse for them on my place. Did they catch the culprit yet that ran into your truck and wall?

Did they ever catch who hit the Fire Hydrant at Brake Check near Staples and SPID? I saw that thing gushing a few weeks back. I am sure whomever hit that Fire Hydrant had some front end damage to be repaired.
