It's true. Last time Cuero started 0-4 was in 2002. Bought Littleton's contract and Hired Mark Reeve. 2003 won the first of 8 DC's.

Herring from Refugio???
3A, while a step up from 2A, may not be a big enough jump for him. I think he will hold out for a 4A or 5A position.

Then he can bring in those recruits I mean maybe then TM's enrollment will increase by 11 or so and, although I'm from TM and want TM to succeed, big D and the rest of 30-4A can give him a proper howdy do and show him how it's done and "prepare for the playoffs" with their players over and over til he eats enough humble pie :-).... But I doubt he goes anywhere yet.... He's gotta pad his win loss record some more...

Although I am happy for the kids of Refugio and the fans on their title last year, I cannot pull for a guy like this. I'd love to see a few teams rub it off on him good. I know it will not happen as long as he's at Refugio, but if he comes up to 4a or 5a, he'll meet up with some teams that'll stomp a mud hole in his --- as badly as he did to a few teams this year. He can make all the excuses he wants but when you are in the 2nd or 3rd round and you call a TO with a couple seconds left to play so you can score a TD when you are already up 3 scores....... YOU ARE A STRAIGHT UP PUNK!As far as Cuero's search goes, I hope they land a good one and they get it going again. The people I've met over the years from C-town are some awfully nice folks!

Come on Clem, quit beating around the bush and say what you really think about Herring I could not agree with you more. I think he will get his comeupance soon, hopefully by the hand of oner of the teams he poured it on.

Reeve's son applied for the East job, possibly wanting a return to the area. I bet he applies for Cuero job and gets it. He was on dads staff in Cuero and is now OC at Churchil.

Hope he can get the job done and get the Gobblers back on track.
Cuero is one of those places where you are 'expected' to win. When you have the storied past of the Gobblers, the people expect to win!

When you have the storied past of the Gobblers, the people expect to win! I think the Gobblers will be back sooner than a lot of people think. Our best players were freshman, but the coach spread them among the Freshman, JV, and Varsity last year and injuries didn't help last year either. I hope Reeve can get the numbers back up the way it use to be. That hurt last year too.
