I hope GP will be solid next year. I feel there might be Somewhat of a drop off. GP lost some athletic studs to graduation. Hopefully the coaches can get the right players in the right position. There are some really good athletes coming through the program it will be interesting to see if the young guys will play well

We started some sophmores last year on varsity and this years team will probably have some more sophmores on it. If there is a drop this year the next 2 after will be highlights.

King Hope goes a long way. Hope someone can solve the problem at QB and hope some one can solve the problem in the secondary and hope someone can solve the Offense line blocking and hope you can do all that with the same coaching staff. About the swagger, can you name one good team GP beat last year. GP37/WFCoyote is from reals Ville. I have been on this coaching staff like ugly on a Ape and they don't seem to improve. I will have my ring side seat as usual and wait and see.

The really good programs have kids working with trainers and visiting camps throughout the off-season. The DB issue is going to take a lot of off season work from a technique perspective. It is extremely hard to cover. You need a couple of kids who are obsessed with being great.

Sweet Home Tx is a bigger community than Realsville with much better people. Realsville has Bible toting closet drinkers and rumor spreading back stabbers, other than that it’s a fine place.

Realsville is where a handshake is as good as a contract and I have been to Sweet Home, Texas and there were more people working on the drilling rig i was working at than the population of Sweet Home Texas. I was cementing pipe in the drilled well.

There’s still one church, the sweet home school (1-8th grade) a community center and one bar. Prolly not more than 40 people still live that community. My niece is part owner of the community center so we’ve had multiple wedding receptions in that hall. Back a few years there where tons of new wells being drilled in that area but not so much now.

Your teams offense rushed for 2735 yards and passed for 2092 yards and only allowed 11 sacks, 6 of which came from back ups. #independentfactchecker

Drilling rig I was on was about half way between there and Hallettsville. Resource Drilling Rig 16.

Freshman and JV being undefeated doesn't necessarily mean anything. Sure the talent is there, but it's what is done in the off-season that counts. If there's not a total buy in and commitment within the kids, parents and community, then it can go south in a heartbeat, especially with all the distractions this society is faced with today

That is a straight up fact no doubt. I agree with you on the DB issues to a point but when is the last time GP had the type of speed that won the sprints and sprint relays at their district track meet? Technique is absolutely needed but doesn't always win even when that technique is as good as it gets especially when the opposition has a couple of WRs that are faster than anyone playing centerfield for your defense.

They beat eveyone else including FB in FB pretty convincingly. The 8th grade was undefeated and dominated. GP definately needs speed in the back field to cover passes and needs kids working outside of school to get better. Sitting in front of the game console is what they do now days. Getting out and getting better is something that needs to come from inside. Not being content on going 2-3 rounds or loosing cause your position gave up 3 TDs on routes should be in these kids minds in the offseason.

GP lost a long time fan the 18th of Feb. Louis Edward Little passed away and as some of you may remember he watched games from the side of the field at GP with his son Russell Morgan Little setting in his wheel chair. Russell Morgan Little passed away 13 November 1985 and his twin sister, Ronda Renee Little Threadgill lives down the road and around the corner from me here in Sinton. She has a daughter that is a coach here in Sinton.

GP Middle school track meet at Middle school Stadium tomorrow at 4:30 PM. Let me add, GP has some pretty strong competitors in Girls track. They have one girl that is unbeatable in the shot and Discus. My great grand daughter placed third I think. They have a very good coach in 8th grade by the name of Coach Haley Teel. Some of you may remember her in the shot put at GP and she went to Alabama on a Scolie. She graduated The University of Alabama where she earned a graduate degree in Sports Business Management and an undergraduate in Marketing.
