Been off the board for awhile. Very sad to learn of OCNH’s passing. Where you been bro? Working or playing?? Just away… board was a little toxic a few months back. Needed a break. And honestly, with next season being my son’s senior season… I’ll be gone after next season anyway. Next one in the football pipeline won’t be on varsity for 4 years, if he even sticks with it.

Come on man, the best time to be on the boards are when you do NOT have a kid playing. I actually stepped away and hardly ever posted when my son was in HS. I stayed completely away pretty much from the 6a forum at that time altogether. I stayed here because there wasn't much if any talk at all about 6a and such.

But it’s kinda hard for me to get hyped up about HS football unless I have family playing on a team or within a district or something like that. I’m kinda looking forward to my grandpa years. Don’t have any grandkids yet, but I’m guessing I’ll have over a dozen in the next 15-25 years. 7 kids kinda stacks the odds in my favor for years and years of grandkid sports as I get older and older.

I was in Bay Area Hosp 11-14. It was packed and nurses told me the whole area is sick with upper respiratory infections. Tell him don't wait to see a doctor even if it's a doc in the box that's what I did wait too long that is. Damnit man. That is serious business there and glad you are getting better. And it is for sure bad right now. My wife had 7 of 22 kids in her 3rd grade class out a couple weeks ago with the flu. Every week she is still missing 2-3 kids with either the flu or upper respiratory stuff. Yup, we are all knuckleheads when it comes to going to the doc for sure. I hate going myself! lol Yep up here the small school my little ones go too has had 20+ kids out and at least 8 teachers out the last 3 weeks... they only have 15 teachers total Prek3-12th plus 4 aides, so we are talking very small school... 1 or 2 kids gets sick and it spreads into the entire place up here... I have to stay clear when my little ones get sick or it wipes me out worse.... yesterday I went in for more scans to see how things are going for me, so hoping for good news soon.

I've known David's family back to when I was small. His sister was the lifeguard during several summers when I was young and his dad taught at Calallen High school for years and years. He was such a passionate football fan and will be missed. Sending prayers to Kathy, Joan, Richard and his entire family during this difficult time. Fly high OCCNH! I remember his dad at the school.... I even think my dad worked with him personally a few times in the oil field. I just read his obituary to know who he was outside of here. It's heartbreaking to lose good folks like him, but it's also sad when we lose our members good or bad on this site. He will forever be missed. Prayers to his family.
