Is the architect firm not going to create a 3D rendering of what the stadium and surroundings would look like? This is a huge missed opportunity if they don't. You're not gonna sell a new stadium to the haters with nothing but a cheap 2D graphic. Architectural firms are not cheap and do not work for free. They usual design fees for commercial facilities are upwards of 10% so unless AISD forks out $3m-$4m to them you likely are not going to see 3D modeling provided for the stadium. They might be willing to share drawings of a similar one they've designed in the past few years but I doubt it would be for free either.

Yeah, I heard the 3D model of Kyle field in the Bush library cost upwards of $8M to have done. I'm like daggum I'm in the wrong line of work!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I see 3d models of about to be newly built texas high school stadiums all the time. No way any of those programs paid an additional $4 million to have it done. No high school district is gonna be ok with that regardless of how rich the district might be.

You're telling me Huntsville ISD dished out an extra $4 million just for this rendering? Stop it man. This isn't 1985. Modern software makes this stuff a lot easier to create now.

I've been in construction for over 30 years and you likely have never picked up a damn screwdriver or hammer so don't tell me it is horsecrap. I NEVER SAID the 3D model cost 10% of the construction. I said the design work cost upwards of 10% which includes the 3D modeling. NO FIRM is going to 3D model a building, stadium, or anything else for that matter without having a contract to do the design of it or at the very least charge a hefty sum just to do a 3D model.

You said $4 million. That's not true. I don't need to be in construction to have common sense that NO school district is gonna throw away $4 million for a 3D model like the Huntsville one I shared as an exame.

NO I DID NOT SAY $4m for a 3D Model. I said 10% for the design work and the 3D model is part of the 10% fee. Below is my exact quote. They are not going to just give you a 3D model of a facility for free. You know NOTHING about construction or how it works and it shows. Stop while you are behind and stop bringing up Huntsville and others which you have no clue on what they paid for that design or the 3D model. Architectural firms are not cheap and do not work for free. It's an investment meathead. You're trying to sell a $38 million dollar project you damn well better put out a 3D rendering of what you're trying to sell. Common f'ing sense.

I just looked at the last 5 years tax assessments for properties in the Alice ISD area and notice the tax rate has dropped every single year.

School districts aren't creating positions for what I do in the first place. It has nothing to do with me. And what I do caused Alice to even create the position in the first place. Not my fault that place was run by backstabbing ignorant small town thinking meatheads at the time.

I don't know of any area that is the case in. wow The excuse of rising taxes due to AISD bonds has been floating around Alice and it's completely false. PROPERTY VALUES HAVE INCREASED, not tax rates. I pointed it out to some of Newells buddies but they backed all amd run back to their daddy for new ammo.

Homestead exemptions is now 100k, so whatever tax rate increase is seen, will probably be offset with the homestead exemption anyway

The way I read your first post I thought you meant property values had actually decreased which is why it shocked me. This makes more sense. Heck, in a lot of districts, counties, cities, etc they are already taxing folks at the highest percentage allowed by law so they just continually raise property values to get deeper into our bank accounts!
