6A stuff I know but the NC/DVille is intriguing. NC had a state title from back in their 4A days. Really intriguing to see the talent level continue to expand. Keep an eye on WR Mason Ferguson, a once Burleson Elk product now transfer to NC.

I moved this thread here to the 6a page.
As far as this matchup goes I do think NC can hang with Duncanville.........for a while. But, watching what D'ville did to a pretty damn good Westfield team I think they will pull away for a 2-3 score win. The computers are going to have this as a closer game but I just think Duncanville has NC beat up front on both sides of the ball and NC will NOT have any speed advantage in this one.
We will see D'Ville/NS 4.0 this year again

Absolutely no doubt NC is a damn good team and they could upset D'Ville but I'm having a hard time seeing anything by NS/DV in the title game again.

And while we're on the D'Ville subject, their next-door neighbor DeSoto versus Southlake Carroll outa be two buzz saws grinding on each other huh? We've got another hell of a weekend of football on tap this coming week. It outa be electric around here.

But after seeing what SLC did to Nelson avenging their only loss this year, it could very well be a heck of a ball game. If you get a chance go and watch the full Desoto/Cedar Hill game from last week. That friggin defense is not just good....they are scary mean and do not let up. Desoto is going to definitely have a size and speed advantage over SLC so for the Dragons to win they are going to have to force some TOs and bad plays by Desoto IMO

SLC was very impressive and stuck right in there. DeSoto pulled away at the end, but it takes these types of teams to beat the SLC's and Aledo's of the world. It will take a steep dip in talent level drop off for any other programs to ever beat these teams. Used to, perhaps it was viable for a drop in enrollment to have correlation to a talent level drop off but not at these schools. They will always keep top talent in stock.

SLC finished in some polls in the top 5 in 6a and obviously in the top 10 in all of them. They were a damn good team at the end of the year and would have hung with NS or Duncanville. That said, the 5 TOs Desoto had against them obviously helped SLC stay in the game and keep it even closer. Hat's off to SLC for forcing those TOs and playing a hell of a game against the Eagles.
