I like your pick, but I thought The Tide would take them last years as well. If I remember correctly they played on a drizzling chilly night last year. Hopefully weather is dry this year The Blanco/Edna game will be interesting as well. Blanco is peaking and playing darn good ball right now. I've seen a couple different Edna teams this year, imo it depends on which one shows up as to who wins the game. I'm excited about both those games, should be barn burners. Heck, Ganado might even give Refugio a scare!

I knew Blanco was pretty dang strong but what they did to Goliad really shocked me. I just think their defense and that QB they have is going to be too much for Edna. I don't see Ganado winning against Refugio unless the Bobcats are looking ahead to the semis and really have a bad game. Ganado is good but not on Refugio's level with talent.

Refugio should be very wary of overlooking Ganado.

Refugio should be very wary of overlooking Ganado. I had to go all the way back to 2004 to find the last time Ganado beat Refugio. It was a rematch game that year in the POs and Ganado won 7-6 over Refugio after the Bobcats dismantled them 36-14 in a non-district game that same year. Since that 2005 game Ganado won, Refugio has beaten Ganado 9 straight times and it hasn't been pretty with the total score being 466 - 63 for an avg margin of 52-7. The closest game though was this year's district game with Refugio winning 30-7. Can Ganado get revenge like they did in 2005? I say no. I'll take Refugio by 3-4 scores.

It looked like very poor attempts to tackle the Ganado rb on this last score. What the heck was that?
