Terrible final play call, qb draw up the middle when Michigan was busting up that middle all game.

Bummer Texas had too many penalties, turnovers and mistakes. What an ending! Texas 31 Washington 37 Final And WA got away with a ton of very obvious offensive holding calls the entire game. The officiating was pure D Chit the entire game. And UT still had a chance to win this game at the end. I did not like the final plays UT called to end the game starting with the 1st down play. I did not think any were high percentage TD type plays in that situation. It is for all the marbles, give your WRs a chance to catch the ball in the damn endzone. What ended up killing Texas in this game was Ewers less than good passing game and the UT secondary.

What ended up killing Texas in this game was Ewers less than good passing game and the UT secondary. Texas shot itself early, so I can’t blame that on anyone but Texas. But the officiating was obviously slanted and I wonder if the fact the Refs were from the Big10 calling a game with a future Big 10 team playing a current next week had something to do with it. I know if the Texas and Bama had won and SEC Refs were calling the Texas game, the conspiracy theories would be a dime a dozen right now.

The officiating was bad for both games for all four teams. I say it cancelled each other out.

The officiating was bad for both games for all four teams. I say it cancelled each other out. It was definitely not an even disadvantage in the Sugar Bowl. Washington definitely benefitted from the lack of cslls against them. Especially picking up the block in the back call against Washington.

Texas got the big call late, Blues catch should have been ruled incomplete. Never had control while he was inbound or possession. Only after was he two yards out of bounds did he have control.

I disagree. That was a clean catch. He never bobbled that ball at all. His foot was down and all he did was move it towards his body as he was going down.

That block in the back was a horrible no call as was the roughing the punter. Also saw many missed holding calls on the WA offensive line all night long that were not called. In the end, when you give up nearly 450 yards passing the way they did they probably didn't deserve the win but with an evenly called game they just might have won it!

Washington averaged over 75 yards in penalties this season. When a team that averages that many doesn’t even get one flag of significance until late in a game when playing a team on the other side that is just a physical, that should be a red flag some funny business is going on. The thinking is they picked up thr flag on that block in the back because it occurred after the whistle. But then it shoudve been called a late hit or unsportsmanlike conduct. But it is what it is. I’m good with how the Horns season went. Sark is building the program the right way and it will be in prime position to start its SEC journey among the top tier from the get go. I’ve read a number of articles in the last week on what the thinking was behind hiring Sark and my respect for him as a man went up significantly. He had to overcome some significant hurdles and a nearly life threatening heart condition to get to this point. But with the nuts and bolts of thr program he saw some deficiencies right off the bat such as Herman over recruiting in WRs and under with linemen. Herman’s last two classes recruited 18 WRs and only 8 O linemen. No wonder they got whooped on the O line several times during his tenure.

Wolverines. I'm surprised the score is this close. I had Michigan by 20+

My guess is we'll see Jim Harbaugh back in the NFL by end of the month.
He's not gonna stick around with the NCAA poking around. He won the natty, now back to the pros.

Wolverines. I'm surprised the score is this close. I had Michigan by 20+ You hit it right on the money in the end with the 21 point win by Mich. Heck, they were up 14 with just about 4 1/2 minutes left to play when they got that last INT and almost turned it into a long pick 6. At no point did I feel WA was going to win the game even though it was a 7 point spread a good part of the game.

Sabin punches the final time clock. Going off to the retirement home.
Let the coaching replacement rumors fly.
