Speaking of Halletsville. Jonathan Brooks is stepping up nicely for the Longhorns. Played some very heads up ball at a critical moment. He's looking good! That dude has put on some muscle!! JWhitt looked good also. I'm happy to see both of them doing well! JWhitt is a good guy. You can tell he has fun out there and is a true team player. He loves playing in Austin.

You can tell he has fun out there and is a true team player. He loves playing in Austin. Not long ago I watch an interview that Whittington gave about playing his last year at UT. He spoke of his love to UT football and how he felt due to injuries that he had not so far not reached his goals he had set for himself. He said the whole team felt they had the right players and staff to do great things this season. He’s in the best shape he’s ever been and the whole team is working very hard in the off season. JWhitt”s a great athlete and football player and I hope he can stay injury free and finally reach his goals.

Tepper has Pieper over Hallettsville

Tepper has Pieper over Hallettsville Actually that’s not surprising due the difference in enrollment numbers. Tepper took the easy route and if Halletsville pulls off a stunner, then he will suddenly become a Brahma fan. Opinions and talk don’t win games, coaches and hard headed testosterone fueled 17 yr old boys win games. The HC at Halletsville must have nads the size of cantaloupes to schedule this matchup, but win he’s the toast of the town and if they lose they at least tried to take down Goliath. Hats off to the Brahmas, & they ain’t no Cows!

Hats off to the Brahmas, & they ain’t no Cows! Well, they were a 1st year 5a school last year without any seniors and mostly sophomores when he scheduled them. The problem is that those sophomores are now juniors and are pretty dang solid. Good enough to beat a salty Davenport team last week. I think and am hoping the Brahmans can hold their own tomorrow.

And from what I'm hearing the folks in Hallettsville really like him and the kids play hard for him.

Well, the game was a mismatch as I thought it'd be. Final was Pieper 57-27.
Year 2 of a 5a program is certainly much different than year 1.

Pieper’s HC was CP’s Previous OC during the 2020 season where CP was a scoring machine… minus the SC game against Denton Ryan. Pieper will be pretty good going forward!

Hallettsville is again stepping up and playing a much larger school this week in SA Central Catholic. Though Central Catholic only shows to have a little over 600 where Hallettsville is under 400, all 600+ at CC are boys. They are showing a senior class of 180 this year so they have more senior boys than Hallettsville does in grades 9-12.
I believe the wife and I are going to go downtown this evening to watch this one though I am thinking it is not going to turn out to well for the Brahmans.
CC is 2-2 but absolutely put beat Floresville last week by 3 scores.

Man I was really impressed with the play of Hallettsville Friday night. They absolutely took it to Central Catholic. I was not expecting that after CC beat Floresville soundly the week before. The Brahmans gave up a lot of size up front to CC but absolutely dominated the play in the trenches. The defense made adjustments early in the game and were lights out. Pretty impressed that a HS the size of Hallettsville could beat CC by 3 scores.
