Rangers 1 1/2 games ahead of the Astros for AL West lead and 2 games on the Mariners. Last home game today, was going it's a 1pm start but I got called in to work last night and work til 5am and work tonight at 6:30pm. Sleep going to be tough if I go and then come home and watch the Cowboys game before I head to work.
Hope they'll have a home game if they get into playoffs looks like I'm missing today's game.

Magic number is 5 for Rangers to win West.
Every week seems one of the teams go in a down spiral or all 3. last week before post season baseball Rangers need to take at least 2 out of 3 against the Angels to clinch atleast a playoff berth.

Three games left in the season and a two game division lead for the Rangers. This is coming down to the wire.

Here is the Rangers playoff chances breakdown from lonestarball.com
Texas, at this point, has a 91.6% chance of winning the division, per Fangraphs, and a 99.2% chance of making the playoffs. That means, of course, that there is a 0.8% chance (per Fangraphs) of the Rangers NOT making the playoffs.
So what would have to happen for lightning to strike and the Rangers to NOT make the playoffs? It would require the following:
The Rangers would have to be swept in the four game series in Seattle
The Astros would have to win exactly two of three of their upcoming games in Arizona against the Diamondbacks
The Blue Jays would have to win at least three of their four remaining games (one against the Yankees and three against the Rays, all at home)
So if the Rangers win any of the four games in Seattle, they are in the playoffs. If the Astros sweep the Diamondbacks, or win one or no games against the Diamondbacks, the Rangers are in the playoffs. If Toronto loses two or more of their remaining four games, the Rangers are in the playoffs.

Rangers clinched a postseason spot last night with a 6-1 win over Seattle.
They can win the division with a win today.

Division on the line and the Rangers couldn't muster one measley run. 1-0 loss to close out the season.
Cool they made the playoffs but I dont see them getting past Tampa.

Arizona has their bench guys playing today... They were already locked in the playoffs with nothing to play for. So, they rested players for the upcoming wildcard series. Seattle had nothing to play for after last nights loss except to spoil the AL West for the Rangers. Kinda shocked by that since they seem to hate the Astros so much more.

Tuesday, Oct. 3 TEX @ TB, Game 1, 3:08 p.m. ET (ABC) Wednesday, Oct. 4 TEX @ TB, Game 2, 3:08 p.m. ET (ABC) Thursday, Oct. 5 TEX @ TB, Game 3 (if necessary), 3:08 p.m. ET (ABC)
And of course they stick the Rangers with the early game times.

Yea I know, was just hoping for a bit of help from them. Wishful thinking.
