What I really want now is robo ump calling balls and strikes without bias or individual interpretation of the strike zone. It already had it's beta test in minor leagues. I'm not sure I want robo umpires, cause the next step is robo player. I would rather have the umpires held accountable for their calls. If an umpire is not getting 90% of his calls correct he needs to be sent down to the minors till he figures out the zone. Only problem is the umpire union won't allow that to happen and MLB won't press them on it either. Also I don't want to slow the game down with managers challenging every other pitch.

Who said anything about challenges? 90% is 10% wrong no thanks. It's already been done in minor leagues. We have the technology to get it right so why wouldn't we? It's 100% accurate sensors. If the ball touches the absolutely consistent strike zone one color light comes on instantly where the ump behind the plate can see it and he calls strike. If the other color lights he calls ball. There is no delay or challenge. All other umpire duties remain as is. Human inaccurate problem solved.

Shohei Ohtani joining Dodgers on 10-year, $700M contract.
